investigating to see how authentic the documentation is. it appears the information is regularly known in the public domain. there are consistencies. we are letting those individuals discuss further before we can make assumptions on what is happening. >> who could be behind this leak? >> there are numerous possibilities. i do not want to speculate. it is possible that someone with russian connections released the leaks. >> russia denied it. they said they denied blame. >> they also denied that they invaded ukraine and several countries around the world. we do not really know what is happening. what the motivations of this individual was. for now, we will of the investigations play out and see what happens. >> with the information that has been linked to have a real impact on the battlefield?

we have had reports that ukraine has been changing some of its plans in the light of these leaks? >> it is possible. one of the pieces of information within the leaks is how much information the united states was getting from the different deputies and bodies within the russian military. now that the russian army is aware of these connections of the united states they could alter how the army behaves, a future battle plan, etc.. ukraine is running out of missiles and that will impact how ukrainians want to plan their counteroffensive whenever that may occur. >> we had south korea dismissed a vast chunk of these reports. south korea has of course not directly supplied weapons to ukraine. reportedly there were some concerns and south korea that

shells it it sells to the united states would make it onto the battlefield in ukraine? >> we do not know what entirely is accurate and what is not accurate in these reports. and south korea's case they have to be mindful of how they participate. the russians are purchasing missiles and other types of military equipment from north korea. that puts south korea in a difficult position too. >> we have a washington post report come out and essentially claimed that egypt secretly produced 40,000 weapons -- rockets for russia. we had u.s. authorities say that they do not have any information on that. no word from egypt yet on that. we know that the war in ukraine, yes, the west has been supplying weapons for the most part to ukraine.

is this true or fake? >> let us look at the video and question that has been shared by a russian telegram channel. we see the church at the back on fire and people looking on. it has been a shared since the fifth of april not only on russian telegram but other social media platforms in various languages such as french, english, and german. here we have one of them accuse the nazis or ukrainian radicals of starting the fire. this tweet in english says that russian language churches are being targeted while this tweet in italian says the eu is complicit in this supposedly persecution. the video has picked up in social media, a pro-kremlin site as well as news.iu. it was also tweeted by the

russian embassy in london before being deleted. all of these claim that the church in question was in the village -- in a village in southern ukraine. just north of kherson. that is where they claim it is. >> how did you fact-check this? his district even in ukraine? -- is this church even in ukraine? >> we came across photos of it online and here it is. it looks quite different from the one and the video. if we look at them side-by-side, we can see there are notable differences. the bell tower, the shape of the building. there is a distinctive gait and fence in front of the one in the video. using the verify tool we discovered the same video was posted on youtube over a decade ago. here it is on the 23rd of january, 2013.

the caption in russian reads church on fire. we searched on the russian search tool in russian and found several articles documenting a fire that destroyed a wooden church. it is not in ukraine, it is a town in southern russia just south of this area and east of moscow. this is what that church used to look like. here on the left. as you can see it is a lot more similar to the church in the video. the same distinctive belltower and it is five bills hanging at the front. they also have those. a russian article tells us that the fire was actually started by an electrical fault from the holiday garland lights. not only was not in ukraine, it also was not arson.

it was also a decade ago. >> talk us through the timing of this video and the tensions that exist between the ukrainian orthodox church and the russian orthodox church? >> the division goes back to 2019 when the ukrainian orthodox church which is historically part of the split. one part became independent and the other maintained links with the moscow branch. things got much more is after the full-scale russian invasion of ukraine by russia last year. the russian church supports it. that created more splits in the moscow affiliated churches including the ukrainian one which has since distanced itself from moscow. not enough to be fully trusted by kyiv. in recent months the ukrainian government has accused the orthodox church of russian collaboration. it is also trying to evict it from the monastery in kyiv where
