according to a poll. he comes out on top with 27%. rick perry comes in at 30 with 16% of the vote. when you compare them to august, cain picked up five times the support and romney flat line and perry lost more than double. is cain the flavor of the week or month or a real threat to the g gop establishment and pick of romney. here's what cane h to say. >> there is a difference between the flavor of the week and haagendaaz. >> joining me now on syndicated radio, msnbc contributor, michael smir conish. with that said, is herman cain the really deal in your thoughts?

11:17 am
any heangt plan that occurs and will be on this exchange that any plan that that covered abortion, even the to receive the plan paid with the abortion with their own money under this law. that would cease to exist because it allows someone to pay with their own money. it's overreaching and something that is quite frankly a real red meat as one said to me and when you ask withins why did they bring this up this week with the nation's unemployment rate at 9.1%, the answer was in our place to america as we ran on 2010 and we are keeping our word and voting on it. there is a not of approval for this on the gop side. it will pass, but they are not beating the drum in a pro rights manner. they realize the country is very much focused on unemployment right now. that being said, this causes
11:18 am
very em passioned debate on the house floor. republicans saying there should in no way have any type of federal imprint on anything that can go towards abortion. democrats are making a plea and calling republicans me soj niftic because of their viewpoints on this. there is this idea that those who do not perform abortions will be given the right to continue that under any circumstances and the idea behind that is in the case of rape or incest or a mother who should carry it out and there will be no prosecution they did not. that's why you let women die. in theory, women want to go to a hospital and they could let them die. most likely that would not occur. >> let me transition you to what's going on in the senate. leaders are presenting their alternative jobs bill.
11:19 am
senator john mccain and rand paul among others. what can you tell us about this jobs plan. >> what you see here in the last few days is with the rejection of president obama's jobs plan, president obama said to republicans, show me what you got. the house republicans said for a long time that was part of that and what you are seeing from john mccain is a thing called the jobs through growth act introducing with rand paul and basically it's the same type of stuff we have seen. it's a lot of deregulation and reformation of the tax code and intended to try and help the job creators and hire more individuals. you also see a strong call for a balanced budget amendment and something that makes it the law of the land not to run deficits. if that were to occur, huh interesting decisions on what would become this offense and health care. more of the same ideas we have seen from the house and this time coming in from the senate where the common ground is, it's not clear at this time.
