new hampshire. >> we started here in new hampshire with zero and we are moving up in each passing hour. >> we have a lot of excitement and we were at theç bottom of e pack with a tie with perry and now we are up, we have not spent a penny. so, that is pretty good. >> plus, white house shake up, how will bill daley's departure impact president obama's reelection campaign. good day. in our daily fix if republican candidates are fanned out across the state making their pitch to voters but they often run into camera crews more than real people. chris, there was more excitement out here. there were huge press cores and i think the voters as you know, late deciders, undecided voters are finally starting to zero in and focus on this, mitt romney

still poised with a double-digit lead in the latest polls? >> yeah, andrea, i think that with undecided voters, if you are still undecided you are probably not a mitt romney voter. he has worked the state hard for basically the last six years, even if he does not get the majority of those undecided, he is likely to win and win by double digits. i went back and looked at all of the polling that has been done in new hampshire. he has averaged 37, 38%, and ron paul 20ish percent. if those numbers shrink a bits and huntsing man comes up a bit, we are headed toward a double digit win for romney. since 1976 no çnonincumbant republican wins back-to-back in iowa and new hampshire. he would be making history.

>> do you see anybody dropping out today, if we have not captured the excitement that was coming for huntsman, could he fail to get a ticket out of here? >> you have nailed it. the person with the most at stake, because he has spent all of his time in new hampshire. he has visited the state 150 plus times is huntsman. he has finiset his expectationst he has to finish in the top three. if polling is right, he will probably finish third or a close second with ron paul. if he does that, my guess is he continues o though i'm not sure there's a path forward for him in south carolina. but the huntsman people will be glad to live and fight another day. perry, gingrich and romney, they are all focused on south carolina already, andrea, i think they will let romney bet his win and try to down play it and say this is the real fight. i cannot imagine anybody else other than hunts man, if he

the sound bite meter all over town for mitt romney. to make the point, you are the senator that has not declared. >> that is why i love coming on, you know the difference between the two of us. >> you know new hampshire so well, is mitt romney the boy next door, somebody said he is the home boy. is he for real and how big a margin does he have to have to really have momentum and bragging rights going south? >> i think that chris laid it out well. double digits certainly, probably in the mid 30s. if he falls to 31, 32, whoever finishes second or a close third will have a bit of momentum and a bit of focus placed on them. >> if jon huntsman can overcome ron paul and finish second, he is going to have a little bit of momentum, maybe it's finally his turn to enjoy the bump that cain and bachmann and perry all got at one time or another.

one is, people questioning what bain capital did, whether it was a company that was determined to create new jobs or a company that was determined to create income for the people at bain capital and its investors. the other thing that is coming into that is comments like that. where mitt romney has trouble relating to people. more like john kerry than bill clinton. that is a worry against republicans going up against the president. >> this is what rick perry had to say about the whole bain capital and we should point out by the way that nbc and bain are part they were e-- ownership of the weather channel. this is perry talking to south carolina voters talking about bain capitalç today. >> they are just vultures, they're vultures sitting out there on the tree limb waiting for the company to get sick. and then they swoop in, they eat

you see of mitt romney not getting the nomination at this point? or is it justç who is going to damage him and rough him up enough to make him more vulnerable to the re-election campaign? >> i never say never. i think that romney has the advantages. i have been predicting he will perform in the mid 30s. some people thinking 40. there will be media chatter about him performing under expectations. but a win is a win. my test is south carolina. it's rough terrain for romney and huntsman. will santorum beat gingrich by enough or the other way around that one can say to the other, why are you in this race, we have to bring south carolina together. it's about can romney be stopped in south carolina. if that doesn't happen, i think he will roll to the nomination.
