tea party. look at this. here is speaker boehner. he is trying to sound like one of them. listen to this spaesh yesterday demanding cuts. tea party style. >> yes, allowing america to default on its debt would be irresponsible. but it would be more irresponsible to raise the debt ceiling without taking dramatic steps to reduce spending and reform the budget process. >> when the time comes, i will again insist that my simple principle of cuts and reforms greater than the debt limit increase. this is the only avenue i see right now to force the elected leadership of this country to solve our structural fiscal imbalance. >> it sounds sophisticated but listen to this. this morning boehner said he wasn't callinging for debalt but went on to question the president's motives. let's listen to boehner again this morning. >> i am not threatening default. where is the president's plan in to tackle our looming debt crisis?

to tackle our deficit must be a balanced approach and he made clear his willingness to work with republicans and democrats it stake out an agreement along those lines. but was just as clear he would not accept an approach asking middle class families and senior citizens to make sacrifices without asking for anything more from millionaires and billion airs. >> speaker boehner provided this account a different one of course. speaker asking the president if he is proposing that congress bass an increase in the debt ceiling. this does not include spending cuts to help reduce the deficit. the president said yes, the speaker told the president as long as i'm around here i won't allow a debt ceiling increase without doing something serious about the debt. blah blah blah. i want it ask you a political question mr. israel. injury job o is to get democrats re-elected. here is my concern as an american watching this thing. if the republicans are right and they can screw up the economy, every time they talk debt ceiling crisis, every time they say the government will go to shut down, every time they say

we're going it renege on paying debts, the s&p standard and poors may go down. a friend of mine just emailed me saying every time the s&p a goads down, in other word the market goes down, obama goes down. could it be they have a very serious plan here to basically sabotage the president? which is create this screw-up with the debt, once again we get a lower bond rating, once again the economy starts to creep along instead of roaring along. the president goes down in the numbers on job performance and they pick up the pieces. what's wrong with that as strategy for them, in terms of real politics? >> i think you're right. mitch mcconnell said that republicans have one mission, deny barack obama a second term. they are all about one thing and this is yi why i think we will take the house back. people are fed up. i don't think it works. i think people are smart. they realize who is driving the bus, house republicans and they are only driving to the far far right and they keep stomping
