several people were taken to the hospital, three of them in critical condition. officials say a crew of up to 6 were working an overnight shift when that blast happened. the explosions began at around 11:00 p.m. at the blue rhino plant in tavares. the plant houses about 53,0 53,0053,000 53,000 0-fund propane cylinders. the cause of that explosion is being investigated. it's being called the largest ever operation against child sex trafficking, more than 100 teens are safe this morning after being rescued in a sting that spanned 76 u.s. cities. the youngest victim just 13 years old. the fbi has taken 159 adults into custody for allegedly running that operation that included truck stops, motels and casinos from san francisco to miami. officials say the group was involved in the commercial exploitation of both adults and children. suspects are expected to face

state and federal charges related to sex crimes and human trafficking. pope francis is back at the vat cap this morning after breeching to millions in brazil. it's what he said on the flight home that's making news. during an impromptu news conference francis reached out a way to gays that's never happened before. the pope said he was not in a position to judge people based on their sexuality. he told reporters "if someone is gay and he searches for the lord and has goodwill, who am i to judge?" while more of a change in style and not direct judge doctrine, it's still a stark contrast from his predecessors. pope benedict called gays "objectively disordered" and john paul ii said homosexual acts were "against natural law." a verdict is expected in the trial of army private bradley manning. he's accused of aiding the enemy of handing over hundreds of

thousands of doults to the wikileaks website. >> good morning, manning faces 21 charges. he's pleaded guilty already to almost half of them but prosecutors are going after the more serious charges of espionage. in court attorneys painted two very different pictures of private first class bradley manning. the defense called him a humanist, concerned about abuses in iraq. here's what he told the judge. he became obsessed on being suspicious and avoiding cooperation with our targets. >> reporter: but prosecutors say he's a traitor, whether or not he intended to aid the enemy, some of the 700,000 documents manning gave to wikileaks were found when navy s.e.a.l.s raided osama bin laden's compound. >> i think it theoretically could have hurt soldiers. i don't know that it did but it

aides say he does not have any intention to go to north korea. summer kind of disappeared in a few spots. >> what happened? >> the amazing heat wave and cooled off. yesterday the big weather story continues at this hour, moving through the state of hawaii, tropical storm flossie moved through, some pretty large waves, squally weather with winds up to 50 miles per hour but overall was not a big deal impact event on the hawaiian islands. it's still moving through, the big red blob, thunderstorms south of the big island and the radar shows some of that rain but overall it's a non-event for many areas of hawaii. yesterday there were water rescues in wichita, kansas, heavy rain moved through and the rainfall totals for the month of july we've been drenched in wichita and oklahoma city and tulsa. there's only one or two in the last three summers so it's been a change of a summer season.

our top political stories and joining me in the studio for our first look at politics is boris enstein, contributor for "the daily column." anthony weiner you have the poll saying he should get out of the race. why is this guy being so defiant. what does he have to gain? >> very little gain and getting out on his own terms he's failed at that. there's a story the clintons are upset at the way the weiners tried to portray themselves as almost a second coming of the clintons. so they're really not making any friends internally amongst democrats right now. he definitely needs to get out and i really want him off my titles. >> americans are willing to give a second chance but not necessarily a third. >> the crazy thing if he stays around there's going to be a third and fourth and a fifth necessarily because there's more
