weekend to avoid that. dick durbin says even if they come up with something that might be a compromise, between both sides coming up with that over the weekend with the monday midnight deadline might be too late. >> tracie potts in washington. we'll be watching. thank you. while we wait on a deal from congress, there's significant movement by the united nations on syria. an agreement calling for the country to get rid of its chemical weapons. the five permanent members of the security council agreeing to impose binding obligations on damascus to eliminate its progr program. a vote could come as early as today. the deal does not include the threat of military force if syria doesn't come ply, but it's being hailed as a major turning point. >> we believe that it is something which is working very pragmatically and strongly in support of this effort of the elimination of chemical weapons in syria. >> this is very significant. this is the first time since the

syria conflict began two and a half years ago that the security council imposed binding obligations on syria. obligations of any kind. >> also thursday secretary of state john kerry held talks with his iranian counterpart. both sides voiced cautious optimism saying great obstacles remain. sblchlkts she may be the most wanted woman in the world. the so-called white widow. international arrest warrant for 29-year-old samantha leftweight not for the mall attacks but she is wanted on charges relating to a 2011 plots to bomb resorts. she's thought to be a key member for al shabaab but officials haven't made public evidence linking her to the attack. she was once married to the london subway suicide bombers. now to a shocking admission

then he runs off and hides them. fun for the fox. not so much for the golfers. >> keeping it real. thank you, beth day. now for a look at the weather here's bill karins. good morning to you. >> great weather in the east this upcoming weekend but not so in the central plains. the snowstorm in idaho has moved into wyoming and is causing problems there. eventually this will push out into the plains. this storm is going to crawl across the country. a storm will take typically three days. this won't even make it to the great lakes in three days. it's going to be a slow crawl. that means warm and wet conditions in the midwest. so as far as the forecast goes the next 48 hours, most of the rain will be in the dhaka tas, but we could see strong storms in kansas today and areas of north texas and oklahoma. maybe even a few tornadoes today. most of those will avoid the big cities. notice the east coast is looking

very nice. then on saturday the storm moves into the central plains. minneapolis to chicago down to kansas city, chance of storms including the dallas area. by the time we get to sunday, the storm weakens and we'll see a few storms down in texas. overall the east coast, we're talking about just another picture perfect weather. one of the best septembers on record for a lot of us. >> thank you, bill. coming up, a reported riff between barbara and president obama. that's next. here's your friday morning dish of scrambled politics. state senator wendy davis famous for her filibuster is gearing up to run for governor of texas. that's news coming from the associated press. also politico through democratic

sources. an official announcement from davis is expected thursday. she faces an uphill bat until a state that hasn't elected a democratic governor since 1990. one woman is not happy with president obama. in new jersey candidate barbara buono is irritated the president won't campaign for her in her underdog run against chris christie. "the daily beast" says i think it'd be a pretty nice part of his legacy to step in and help the underdog first all-women ticket. one senator will be absent when the chamber votes on a spending bill. jeff flake will be home attending the wedding of his 20-year-old son austin. but for the members of congress who will be there, the white house has a stern message to republicans when it comes to the back and forth over raising the debt ceiling. >> we are for cutting spending. what we're not for is

negotiating with people with a bomb strapped to their chest. how we give them a better bargain, with the debt ceiling, take the full faith and credit of the united states off the table and let's have a discussion. in illinois it's time to pay up. lawmakers must be paid despite the pension crisis. pat quinn halted them earlier this year. hillary clinton endorsed bill deblasio. and the white house is not insisting that its behind the online adorable care act. they are insisting they are not behind it. the page started earlier this month and features pictures of cute little animals like this little guy saying i can rest easy knowing lifetime caps on health coverage have been eliminated. that's going to do it for your morning dish of scrambled politics.

joining me now is christina bellantoni. we're getting closer and closer to the deadline. these government shutdowns cost millions and could even hurt the u.s. credit rating. how do you see this playing out? >> i see them working out some sort of last-minute deal, probably late tonight or early saturday morning. every leader, no matter what they say, they don't want this to happen. so they are trying to avert it in any way possible. john boehner is under a lot of pressure now. >> what do you think the president should be doing to avoid this shutdown? >> he's on the phone with lawmakers right now and that's something that he's saying, hey, come to terms and we can negotiate on something later. as you noted with the full faith and credit question there, he's not going to negotiate on this next fight of the debt ceiling. so potentially another standoff. >> what about the 14th amendment and the president raising the
