lawmakers from both parties are calling for somebody to be held accountable over the flawed rollout of healthcare.gov. she said the majority of people calling for me to resign are the people i don't work for and do not want this program to work in the first place. meanwhile, contractors that worked on the website face the ire of several members of congress. >> ebay doesn't crash before christm christmas. >> neither you or anybody else at the table never thought to go forward because you didn't think the system was ready, is that a correct statement? >> did any of you come forth to the administration and say this thing may not be ready on october 1st, and we might want a delay until we can get it right?

while on an amtrak train. and tom matzie tweeted everything he was saying. he gave disparaging quotes about the obama administration. he speculated at one point he might be caught for the live tweeting, which he was, but it seems to have ended well. he chatted, and matzie called hayden, a gentleman. and then hillary, a heckler wanted to discuss benghazi. >> buffalo is a good model for the country. we can't move from prices to crisis, we have to be willing to come together as citizens to focus on the kind of future we want, which doesn't include

to some sense of normalcy. >> one national guardsman in custody and two more injured after an altercation in tennessee. it's not clear what started the incident, but one of the guardsmen, a recruiter pulled a handgun out and shot the other two who were his superiors in the leg and foot. the suspect is in the brig, and he had been with the national guard for six years. two american sailors have been kidnapped off the nigerian coast. the navy is attempting search and rescue for the captain and engineer. "the new york times" reports the ship a 200-foot supply ship, the kind that is becoming increasingly pop target for

attacks by pirates in that region. and then enough for a nuclear bomb in one month. there has been mixed assessments about tehran's abilities. the white house pressing for more time to negotiate while some members of congress looking to tighten already tough sanctions on that country. israel vowed military action to keep iran from obtaining the bomb. here in the u.s., the statistics on prescription drug abuse are startling. prescription pills account for 75% of deadly drug overdoses and now the fda trying to do something about it. the government is moving forward on a plan to tighten controls on painkillers that contain the narcotic, hydrocodone.

the leaves are still at their peak in a few spots. it's a cold morning as advertised east of the rockies. there's a chill in the air. 31 in nashville. the chill made it all the way down into the southeast, and not tonight, but tonight we have freeze warnings down to atlanta tonight. that's a cold blast of wind this time of year. and then near the great lakes, maybe a little snow. it's going to be a nice afternoon with a lot of sunshine out there. the chill is not too bad. up in new england in the 50s and 40s, and much of the midwest will be nice. the only spot that will get more rain than you would like, texas from san antonio to houston, periods of rain saturday and sunday. and then you get a cold break and then it quickly ends. it's long lasting into next week. >> yeah. thank you, bill. appreciate it. coming up to the top of the hour, pointing fingers down in d.c. a hearing to figure out the root
