serious news this morning. that search and rescue mission continuing the efforts to find the missing flight 370. this is now the sixth day. however, this morning a new report by the "wall street journal" is throwing even more doubt into the whereabouts of the plane and its 239 passengers and crew members. after reaching its last confirmed location u.s. investigators now believe the boeing 777 was up many the air for up to four more hours, meaning that the plane may have traveled an additional 2,200 miles, or as far as the indian ocean or the border of pakistan. this information is based on data that is automatically sent from the plane's engines to the ground. the problem? the boeing's monitoring problem -- the journal also reports, "the u.s. counterterrorism officials are pursuing the possibility that a pilot or someone else aboard the plane may have diverted it toward an undisclosed location after intentionally turning off the jetliner's transponders to

avoid radar detection? yesterday there were several reports about the possible location of the missing plane. abc muse reporting the oil, the things he saw the burning jetliner crash into the south china sea, so he came down to one piece. now, that report is still unconfirmed. chinese officials take a look at the satellite images whaf they believe could be debris from the plane. however, there is no evidence of a crash in the location shown in those images. mystery deepens. well, new this morning tragedy overnight as a car killed two people in austin, texas, and injurying 23 more. the crowd hit a venue outside the mohog. people were lined badly injured on the street there. chaos. thousands descended on austin for south by southwest. this is an annual pilgrimage for those involved in digital development, music, and movies. the man and woman killed were on a moped when they were struck. police say the driver was trying

to evade a dwi stop. he is now in custody. the death toll is rise ago of two apparent buildings collapsed in new york city yesterday. the deadly blast was in harlem, the section of manhattan being blamed on a gas leak. overnight three more people were pulled from the rubble. right now six people are dead, and several others still missing, and more than ray dozen people were injured in the explosion. the blast occurred about 15 minutes after a resident reported the smell of gas. these photos show the buildings before and just after the explosion. look at that. witnesses say it was just a horrific scene. >> i heard boom, and my windows rattled. i ran out the apartment because it sounded much closer than it was. >> we heard a huge explosion. we thought that the train had exploded. it was still people missed because you could hear people, you know, saying help me. >> i was living many the building. they flew out when the blast hit, and then knocked everybody into the debris.

gm announced it knew as early as 2001 that there were problem with faulty ignition switches, and that's three years earlier than gm first admitted it was aware of the issue. meanwhile, the carmaker says it will give owners of the recalled cars $500 towards buying or leasing a new one. they're also being advised to offer loaner cars to concerned owners. an auto safety group is urging gm to set up a $1 billion fund. the senate for auto safety says victims and families will not be able to sue because of statute of limitations or because of gm bankruptcy. sfwlimplgts you heard about this story? the emergency new jersey high school student sued her parents for financial support. well, apparently this young woman is now back living at home this morning. it was her lawyer saying that her parents are pressuring her to withdraw her lawsuit. rachel canon says her parents should pay her bills and her college tuition even though they say she's unwilling to follow their rules at home and help out around the house. now, the story made us wonder
