people at fort hood before turning the gun on himself. there was nothing that indicate that ivan lopez was violent or suicidal and the injuries he complained about was not from iraq. he was treated for depression. there's evidence it was a verbal altercation on the base that may have sparked the shootings. friends in his hometown of puerto rico told the nigh times that they were shocked. a former superior said he couldn't believe we're speaking about the same guy. i expressed anger about not getting more time off for his mom's funeral. he bought the handgun that major that dahl hassan bought his weapon. flags flown at half-staff around the country. friends and families spent the day remembering the loved ones. >> among those killed 37-year-old timothy owens. a counselor and 10-year army

ton lightening and thunder. now the line went through -- we have one more tornado warning that just expired now we watch the storms traveling across alabama. as we go through the day today, as far as the concerned area is going to go. it's in yellow. that's a slight risk. we don't have the red like yesterday. we're looking at slight risk of storms knoxville to huntingville, birmingham to atlanta to jackson, mississippi. those are the areas of concern. it's not so much tornados today but damaging winds. that's more typical of inside your house you can feel a little safer. you have to watch the falling trees. okay. we'll talk about the weekend forecast. majority leader harry reid doubling down on the criticism of the koch brothers whom he recently described as un-american. as the l.a. times is pointing out he's hardly the only democrat taking aim. al franken accused him of secretive network to funnel dark money all over the country.
