north korea and what that means to south korea. obviously this is important on the korean peninsula there and the president is standing firm side by side with president park there about what it means for their safety. we want to turn to other news this morning. the clock is ticking in russia as it tries to explain the latest move during the crisis that we continue to watch in the ukraine. ukraine's government gave moscow 48 hours to justify a new round of military exercise as long their shared border. this amateur video is showing armored vehicles on a highway in ukraine. ukrainian forces attacked pro-russian militants in the east part of the country. at least two mill tanlts were killed but ukraine pulled back fearing that russian rooms were on the verge of carrying out an attack. secretary of state john kerry said vladimir putin is running out of time to resolve this crisis. >> let me be clear. if russia continues in this

direction, it will not just be a grave mistake, it will be an expensive mistake. the window to change course is closing. president putin and russia face a choice. if russia chooses the path of deescalation, the international community, all of us will welcome it. if russia does not, the world will make sure that the costs for russia will only grow. >> meanwhile, reuters is reporting that president obama will speak with the leaders of several european countries today. and there's good news out of ukraine this morning. one of the american journalists detained in eastern ukraine was released and is, quote, safe and sound. good news there. there's a major set back for efforts to reach a peace agreement in the middle east. israel says it's suspending it's talk with the palestinians and this comes after palestinian

officials announced plans to create a government with hamas. they're urging the palestinian president to reconsider. >> he took a giant leap backward and made a pact with the terrorist organization. he had a choice, peace with israel or pact with the terrorists and he chose to make the pact. so that's the blow for peace and i hope he changes his mind and until he does so i think it's very important that we have variety. as long as i'm prime minister of israel i will never negotiate with a palestinian government backed by terrorist organizations committed to our destruction. >> they'll recognize israel and be committed to the peace process. the u.s. and israel consider it a terrorist organization. >> i want to bring you an update on the breaking news story from yesterday out of kabul where a security guard killed three

americans. among the dead was a doctor from chicago. he was a pediatrician and father of three. they were killed in what's being called an insider attack. a policeman that offered fire at the nonprofit christian hospital's gate. he volunteered in kabul for years. his wife of more than three decades fought back tears as she asked the country to open up their hearts to afghanistan and think not just of her husband. >> my heart aches for the afghanistan people also though. people here may not understand afghanistan and the afghan people. and i know jerry would also really like everybody to know about his love for the afghan people and our love for the afghan people. and that we don't hold any ill will toward afghanistan in general or even the gunman who did this. >> so the name you've heard a

lot about, bundy who two days ago was being called a conservative hero had his fortune up ended after the new york times reported on remarks he made about the african american community. he is refusing to pay the government $1 million on fees but his stand against land usage laws spiralled into something different when he openly questioned whether african americans were better off as slaves than living on government subsidies. >> are those quotes accurate? because you told me that that's not exactly what you said. >> no, that's not exactly what i said. the men were out working. i didn't say anything about picking cotton but they were out working. basically they make it a racist-type thing because i'm not racist. >> then video emerged of bundy making the exact remarks originally reported by the new york times. >> i want to tell you one more thing i know.

they didn't have nothing to do. they didn't have nothing for their kids to do. they didn't have nothing for their young girls to do and because they were basically on government subsidy. so now what do they do? they abort their young children? they put their young men in jail because they never learned how to pick cotton. and i've often wondered were they better off as slaves picking cotton and having family life and doing things or better off under government subsidy. >> so he backed off the denials embracing his original remarks. >> that's exactly what i said. i said i'm wondering if they're better off under government subsidy and their young women are having the abortions and their young men are in jail and their older women and their children are standing -- sitting out on the cement porch without nothing to do. you know, i'm wondering, are they happier now under this

government subsidy system than they were when they were slaves and they were able to have their family structure together. >> all right. so you thought that was it. well, you'd be wrong. his media blitz didn't end there. asked if he really thought they would be better off as slaves he turned the question back on the reporter. >> well, the question is are they slaves the way they are or are they slaves to charity and government subsidized homes and are they slaves when their daughters are having abortions and their sons are in the prisons. and this thought goes back a long time. >> so now most of bundy's reporters rejected his comments. and the fall outreached as far as washington where senator rand paul said he wholeheartedly

disagrees with him. the senator condemned the remarks in the most strenous of ways and his speech was called highly offensive and 100% wrong on race. >> michelle obama is changing the date she'll address high school students in kansas. she was supposed to speak on a saturday in may but some students and family said there would be fewer tickets for family and friends to attend but she will now speak to seniors the night before and all the schools will have separate commencements the following day. the first lady is using the occasion to mark the 60th anniversary of the landmark civil rights case brown verses the board of education. >> all right. so a friday edition of business. now the dow was flat yesterday. mixed earnings reports in the nasdaq and s&p 500. they were both up. to green arrows there. steve is live in london for us. how are we going to close out the markets for the week? are they going to remain up?

>> it could be a tricky day actually. they could have been better off yesterday. but the problem here is that the macro concerns over ukraine weighing on the european markets, the blue chips are down around a percent today. amazon's shipping costs are up 31%. so what the group is apparently test as good going that last mile themselves. having their own delivery service going up against the likes of fed ex and ups as well. it could be costly for them but take out the big shipping costs that have to go to third parties. >> netflix potentially becoming a cable channel? doesn't that take away from their business model? >> it takes away one remote control and that's all i care about. but what it potentially could do is they're going to allow the

video streaming service on to their platform as well. which means you don't need a box. it's only available first. around 500,000 households. you have to be already having a subscription to those cable networks and to netflix as well but it's a step forward and one little remote control hidden in the sofa. >> easier to find for sure. all of that good programming. andy warhol fans are getting their first look at the previously unreleased works. the warhol museum recovered a set of imagines from a floppy disk that the artist created on a home computer. he even recreated his most iconic imagines. it got us in a nostalgic mood about old time technology. we want to know the best thing you ever saved on floppy disk. good thing the floppy was the thing that was incorrect.
