recovering after a high-wire circus act gone wrong in rhode island. the accident, which may be disturbing for some to watch was all caught on camera here. that happened in front of a crowd of 9,000 people. at least nine acrobats were injured, two of them critically. one was scheduled for later this morning. ron mott reports from providence. >> this shows a curtain being lowered just before the rigging collapse. eight female acrobats plunging to the ground about 35 feet, authorities said. a male performer in the ring was also injured by the collapse. >> we ask that you please enjoy this intermission at this time while we situate ourselves during this accident. thank you. >> we thought it feels part of the show. all the sudden you saw the cable break and that was it. >> the nine injured performers were rushed to the hospital in

critical condition. >> our hearts and prayers are with the nine individuals. some were very seriously injured. hopefully they make a full recovery. at this point we don't know if that's going to happen. >> failed entertainment. the company that runs the circus announced two other shows scheduled for sunday were canceled and an investigation was under way. a spokesperson described the act as a human chandelier. >> don't want her to walk away being scared of a circus. >> it was scary. it was. >> that was ron mott reporting. safety investigators are trying to figure out what went wrong and how to fix it. tension continues to grow in ukraine following violent clashes between security forces and pro-russian forces. the prime minister is accusing russia of engineering the clashes that left at least 40

dead. all of this comes less than ap month before the national election scheduled for may 25th. keir simmons brings us more. >> reporter: masked men opposed to the current government smash the door of a police station in odessa. 30 pro-russian prisoners were freed, cheered by the crowd. heros, they shout. and we will not forgive. more than 40 died in a fire in adownon building. the fire is the worst atrocity since february. the pro-russian protesters blamed government forces. >> this is the part of russian road maps to grab and eliminate ukraine. >> reporter: and criticized his own police for failing to stop it. one group of officers responded, throwing their shields to the floor. we haven't entirely lost

all kinds of fun stuff to bring you for first buzz. let's get start with some little creature. what is this thing? >> so the captain is out on the ocean 300 days a year. he pulls up this along with a bunch of shrimp. that's the rarest and ugliest catch in terms of a shark that you've ever probably seen. it's called a goblin shark. 10 to 13 feet long normally. this one was 18 feet long. they lurk around as deep as 5,000 feet. he caught it. he took pictures and threw it back into the ocean. >> yes, he released it back into
