this is "way too early." good morning, i'm mika in for thomas roberts, and it's june 9th. welcome to "way to early." police mourn their own after an apparent ambush left five dead, two police officers. they were eating lunch at a cici's pizza when a man and woman opened fire. they officers opened fire back, but were killed by the shooters. the two suspects left the restaurant, shooting at bystanders, killing another by a nearby walmart. police converged on the scene an fired the suspects, but the police say the woman shot the man before turning the gun on herself. they have yet to find a motive, but there's sources saying the shooters draped the bodies in yell

fell asleep. he's out on $50,000 facing several charges and expected in court later today. walmart says they will take full responsibility if its driver is to blame. former star of "30 rock" and "sat night live" was returning home from a show in delaware. his family has been by his side in the hospital. the soldier may be ready to come home, but he needs more time to deal with the emotional wounds suffered at the hands of the taliban. the 28 -year-old says he was tortured in captivity, locked in a dark cage for days on end after being caught trying to escape. bergdahl, who has so far declined to speak with his family, is getting support from his hometown that cancelled a parade after getting a flood of negative calls. the fbi is investigating death threats against his parents. on capitol hill, members of congress are criticizing the prisoner swap for failing to extract more from the taliban in

attackers. the militants carried out the attack after storming a side entrance at the international airport. they say the attack was retaliation for pakistani strikes. the attackers were disguised as police officers a armed with explosiv explosives. they expect civilians to take back control later today. it was an unprecedented prayer summit at the vatican. look at this. pope francis prayed for peace in the middle east with both israeli president perez and palestinian later abbas. they embraced after meeting in the public for the first time in two years and planted an olive tree together. pope francis blamed the failure of a peace deal on the devil. he says it shows more peace than warfare, and talks broke down

earlier this year. in just a few hours, president obama's expected to take new steps to overhaul student loan debt in america. he's expected to issue an executive order and also back a bill put forth by democratic senator elizabeth warren. according to "the new york times," this puts a ceiling on loan holders at 10% of their monthly income. the bill lets borrowers refinance their existing loans to lower interest rates. the proposal faces steep opposition by republicans like republican senator mitch mcconnell who says the plan does nothing to make college more affordable, reduce borrowing amounts, or increase job prospects. we'll talk about that later. it doesn't make any sense. a brand new survey shows women are struggling to reach the highest level of leadership in business. that's a take-away from a study published in the new york times," out of the eks on the
