fourth of july, meet arthur. the first named storm could throw a wrench in holiday plans for tens of millions of americans heading to the east coast. arthur is spinning off the florida coast. it has the potential to turn into a hurricane. bill karins has the latest on this. this is not what we want to hear. >> we can take the word could out. it will. it will have an impact in north carolina. don't turn around and not go on vacation. we have to listen to the emergency managers. it could leave the outer banks. hurricane watches for northern north carolina. that just came in. we have the new path. first, on satellite imagery, the storm strengthened overnight. it tried to form an eye feature. winds 60 miles per hour. the pressure has dropping. arthur moved to the north. this is paralleling it.

it is 130 miles east-southeast of daytona beach. you can see the black line. that's the center of the storm. it's accelerating to the north. the wet, strong side of the storm on these systems is almost always to the east. that's why florida has little or no rain today. it may not have any. this is going to be a glancing blow for florida. the most dangerous aspect of this storm is going to be the rip current and the rough surf for the millions of tourists on vacation. that's going to be dangerous, even if it's sunny on friday and saturday through new jersey and new england. the biggest concern for damage from the storm itself is eastern north carolina. the hurricane center has it a category one hurricane. friday, 2:00 a.m., south here of atlantic beach. it's very close. has to be close enough for damage from a little bit of wind and the danger of surf.

it parallels the coast. it does not affect new england. looks like the macy's fireworks friday will be fine. north carolina is going to take the worst of the storm. >> thank you, bill. also this. caught on tape, a food truck explodes north of philadelphia injuring 12 people. a propane tank is to blame for that explosion. it sent flames flying into the air and reported by a nearby security camera. a girl was walking by from the nail salon. he back got sprayed from debris. she was screaming up the street, i'm on fire, i want my mom, i want my mom. >> two people were inside the truck. all 12 people injured were taken to the hospital. last check, eight people were treated and released. four people remain hospitalized. there's no word on their

condition. the philadelphia fire department is investigating that explosion. angry and passionate protesters turn away 100 undocumented children and adults in southern california. three buses arrived. protesters began blocking the roadways. many carrying signs saying stop illegal immigration and return to sender. the undocumented immigrants were flown from california to texas where officials there say there's been a recent influx of unaccompanied minors. parts of the midwest are dealing with the effects of the dangerous weather. relentless rain caused flooding on a chicago roadway. some were forced to abandon their car. an indiana man was crushed to

death when a storm hit his home. two teens were stuck in a storm drain. the body of one was found in a nearby lake. the other survived. with the mississippi river reaching record levels, iowa remains under water. the fighting in iraq intensifies, and leaders are turning to others for help. a second batch of russian fighter jets arrived tuesday. they will be backed for iraqi troops. audi arabia is giving $500 million to united nations to protect and divide for iraqis. meanwhile, forces started an offense to recapture tikrit. it's important to the government following two weeks of defeat by isis. look at this. new video claims to show isis

response to i believe that we will win. unfortunately, they did not. that is your morning dish of scrambled politics. joining me now is aaron blake on the phone. aaron, we are going to talk about something people see as a no win situation. are you surprised protesters stopped bus load immigrants to make it to border facilities? what does it say about the immigration in this country? >> caller: i'm not surprised. it ignites passion to those resis tent to those coming into the country and being legalized. there's an emerging situation that is right for this action. i think what's happening in california has been a long time coming and it's been a pretty stunning scene to say the least. >> protesters were holding signs saying return to sender. many immigrants are little kids who risked their lives to get here. some were raped and beaten along

the way. are there answers with how this deals with the influx of children? >> caller: absolutely not. congress has been dealing with this by looking at dream act legalization. there's really no great question -- no great answer here. you send them back and figure out where to send them or keep them here and feed them and keep them safe. they are children. so, i really don't envy president obama in this situation and obviously, congress is showing very little ability to get anything done on this issue. >> congress is not showing it. the president said he is going to take administrative action. any idea what that will entail? >> caller: you know, it's hard to see. the administration has said they are limited on what else they can do on immigration. obviously, they did what they did in 2012. stopping deportation of young
