ukraine and russia. there are reports that rebels have placed hundreds of body into refridge rated boxcars. the interim president of ukraine making a statement about the crash site a short time ago. >> ukraine began authorities discovered 272 bodies. 251 of which are already loaded in a trailer fridge raters. we sent two trains, four cars of which are right now located in the city. they do not allow the train to leave the area. >> russian president lashed out today saying russia is doing everything possible to let experts investigate the scene. lawmakers in washington say putin needs to do more.

recover the victims. nearly 200 bodies have been piled into refrigerated boxcars and internationally outrage is growing. >> it's an absolutely horrible situation. it does look more like a garden clean up than a forensic investigation. >> reporter: in a video statement this morning russian president said the crash would not be used as a political tool. secretary of state kerry pointed fingers at moscow for arming rebels in ukraine. he suggests pro-russian separatists are responsible for shooting down the plane. >> we picked up the imagery of the launch. we know the trajectory. we know where it came from. >> reporter: republicans are calling for new sanctions on russia criticizing the obama administration for not being tough enough. >> president obama is trying to be deliberative. it comes off as indecisive.

is getting worse and it's happening quickly. martin fletcher live from tel-aviv. thank you. this morning parts of the pacific northwest on fire. crews trying to tame 21 wild fires burning in oregon and washington. look at the video. the fires lit up by lightning storms last week. a million acres already charred and scarred more than 100 buildings lost in all of this. in washington, a man died trying to save his home. cooler weather in the forecast could slow down the flames. more fallout following the death of a new york man after police officers appear to have put him in a choke hold during an arrest attempt. four emergency service workers responded to the call on thursday are on modified duty while the death of 43-year-old eric garner is reviewed. a father of six was arrested on a number of indications for selling illegal cigarettes is telling officers he cannot breathe as they hold him down and cuff him.

the officer who allegedly placed the choke hold on him has since been stripped of the gun and badge and placed on modified assignment. the agency that investigates police misconduct is looking into more than 1,000 complaints filed in recent years of officers using choke holds. another violent weekend in chicago claims the lives of four people including an 11-year-old girl. the chicago police departmented is working on the official tally, but unofficial reports say at least 40 people were shot in the latest wave of gun violence. 11-year-old shamea adam was at the slummer party when a stray bullet struck her in the head. she died from her injuries on saturday. this morning hollywood is remembering one of the most likable leading men. >> actor james garner passed away at his los angeles home saturday. he died of natural causes.

garner's career spanned nearly six decades. the 86-year-old laid back charm won him fans of all ages. on the small screen he made the mark in two huge tv classics in the '50s. maverick and -- >> jim rock ford. that '70s hit. the rock ford files. on the big screen he romanced julie andrews in the americanzation of emily, chatted up marlon brando, and earned best actor playing opposite sally field in murphy's romance. >> one of my problems is i make it look like it's easy. i appreciate him saying that because he knows for a fact that it does not come easy. >> james garner is survived by his wife, actress lois clark and their two daughters. we want to take you to sports right now.

the northeast feels it. they get one or two more days. the midwest things changed in a hurry. we went from the cool weather to a heat advisory that goes all the way from southern kansas to almost to the canadian border. today is going to be a dangerous day for hot weather. we haven't had a lot of hot weather this summer. 100 to 110 is how it will feel from the central plains to the northern plain. the actual temperature will be about mid 90s in many areas. one of the hotter spots in denver about 97. when fargo is 92 and it's humid, off we get big thunderstorms. that's the concern tonight that area of red a moderate risk of severe weather. we're expecting widespread wind damage toward minneapolis. some could be as you go to sleep later on tonight. the monday forecast one or two more gorgeous days through d.c. to new england. southeast the typical afternoon soakers. the midwest, everyone likes to say the weather changes quickly.
