no u.s. flights going to israel after a rocket hit near the airport. no serious injuries. the move has stranded some tourists, and israel pressed the u.s. to return the service. and former mayor michael bloomberg will be flying on el al straight to tel aviv. it's a victory for hamas, it's hurting their reputation for security. two more israeli soldiers are killed, and the death toll for palestinians tops 600. richard engle traveled with ambulance crews who must wait in many cases for victims to be brought to them. >> reporter: between emergency calls, he checked his supplies. he says he can't go to where he's needed most. we get calls that there are

injured there, and they're bleeding to death, he said, but we can't go in. last time, he did manage to get in, this is what he found. first, a face, like a corpse. then, she moved, and breathed. 24-year-old had been buried under the debris of her home for two days before his team rescued her. and this is where she is right now, in critical condition, badly burned, and appears to be slipping in and out of conscienceness. a doctor says all of her family was killed. they don't expect her to survive. >> meanwhile, the "washington post" reports in the west bank, israel is demolishing homes of relatives of palestinians accused of violence. and based on the airline ban for certain western airlines, what do you think of former new york

city mayor michael bloomberg's decision to travel to protest the temporary ban. a good idea or just a stunt? we be will put the answers up later on in the show. we bring the latest on malaysian airlines flight mh17. they have made a stunning discovery. the key pieces of evidence, the cockpit and fuselage were cut in half with saws. u.s. intelligence officials say this shows increased traffic at a russian military base believed to be helping the rebels. and a surface to air missal launcher back to ukraine from russia. there's no direct evidence that russia pulled the trigger, but russia continued to support the rebels even after the plane went down. meanwhile russian president vladimir putin struck a defiant tone, blaming ukraine before escalating the conflict. before heading west, president

obama visiting the dutch embassy in washington to remember nearly 200 victims. he said americans are heartbroken and vowed justice. and amid criticism that he will be looking for political donations amid growing crisis overseas. >> there's no concern about the image that, yes, he can have these calls, but his schedule is basically dominated by fundraisers. >> maybe the public schedule that you see -- >> what we're not seeing? >> what will be clear to you as the president goes through the next several days, is that he will be paying all of the necessary attention to make sure that american interests are represented in each of these circumstances. again, through phone calls, through conversations, staff, either in washington, around the globe, or traveling with him along the west coast. >> and former president bill clinton said whoever shot down flight 17 is seeking a divided world. making those comments in

jump on the ruling that the subsidies were illegal. he referenced the successful challenge to the birth control mandate. and it's further proof that president obama's health care law is unworkable, cannot be fixed. later today, they will testify on capitol hill about an audit that found 11 out of 12 fake applicants for subsidies made it through. and the government will spend $17 billion this year on subsidies. we turn to election news. specifically in georgia, the key senate race there will be a contest of outsiders. david purdue defeated jack kingston in the runoff. defying the polling. running as a businessman, beating back a crowded field of some of the biggest political names in the state. and facing off against michelle nunn, who's never served in

political office. he's more mainstream, and expected to make it tougher for nun to pull off an upset. it ran the risk of going the way of missouri if they had a more conservative candidates. they are replaying the presidential election. democratic groups taking a page out of the play book from mitt romney, saying he's outsourcing, and republicans saying that nun is a little too cozy with president obama. >> i respect michelle nunn. i respect her work. i respect her family. but with my business career, i will prosecute the failed record of the last six years of barack obama. >> all right, so we will have more of that, and analysis coming up on morning joe. new york's police commissioner prepping for the fallout from the death of a man apparently placed in a choke hold by one of his officers. bill braden said the incident

that's forced calls for his resignation, and could bring a civil suit from eric garner's family. he's sending a team of officers to l.a. to see how the l.a.p.d. retrains officers. >> in many instances they have the most contemporary policies on use of force training that i seek to take advantage of. i would anticipate that coming out of this effort, that there will be a re-training of every member of the new york city police department in the weeks, months, and potentially years ago ahead. >> despite claims from some new york officials, the commissioner doesn't think the incident that opened old wounds of police brutality had anything to do with race. apple facing a class action lawsuit against labor violations

in california. a total of 20,000 former apple employees may be impacted. and jeff is live with us. good morning. >> good morning to you. this is the kind of pr that apple really didn't need as they just reported earnings. around 20,000 employees, or former employees are set to join this class action lawsuit now that a california judge has given it approval. you've laid out the terms. mostly this is about paychecks being delayed, held back, or workers working more than five hours without breaks. they have banded together to pursue this action. the judge says they can do it. so far we don't really have any meaningful numbers on how this could impact apple's bottom line. they are making good money, though. $7.7 billion in the last quarter here, and that was on the back of strong sales of the iphone 5c. particularly in china.

a little bit of head scratching as to why ipad sales haven't been so strong. a decline, about 9% lower. keep an eye on the market, the s&p looking at the big round 2,000 number. can we get through it? markets are positive in europe, a trailing wind. but watch the earnings. facebook and boeing and pepsico are going to be the key numbers that we get today out of the corporates in the united states. back to you. >> and jeff, the other big headline, chrysler group recalling hundreds of thousands of vehicles, similar to gm's ignition switch issue? >> absolutely. this is a nightmare for the auto companies at the moment. and it is this ignition switch, again, that is causing problems. the company coming out and saying potentially as many as 800,000 vehicles could be recalled. we're talking about commanders and grand cherokees from some years back here.
