as the latest deadly attacks against a u.n. school is intensifying u.s.-lead efforts toward a truce. a new polls shows american are reacting. according to the gallop poll, americans are split on their view of israel's actions against hamas. a majority feel that hamas' actions against israel are unjustified. secretary of state john kerry and other diplomats are currently working on a ten-day humanitarian pause, which could begin sunday as the muslim holly mopd of ramadan comes to a close. muslims across the world are marching in sold tear i did against israel's actions. right now it remains unclear exactly which side is responsible for that attack on the u.n. psychological which left 16 dead and more than 100 wounded. this school was being used as a shelter by palestinian families fleeing the crisis. richard dingell has more on the atta attack.

>> witnesses say five explosionser to through the u.n.-run school in northern gaza. the playground took a direct hit. an outdoor class was soaked in blood. and a nearby hospital ambulance after ambulance brought in the injured. mostly children before going back for more. six month old had shrapnel in his back. they removed the sharp metal without anesthetic. nearby his father described the moment when his six children were blown away, he says, like scraps of paper. the hospital was overwhelmed by the flow of injured. none of them accepts israel's claim that it does its best to spare the innocent. >> to kill the children, the children -- what?
