water and a rubick's cube. this is "way too early." hey, everybody. good morning. i'm thomas roberts, live from baltimore. welcome to "way too early" the show that couldn't solve one rubik's cube on dry hand. but we can hold our breath for 18 seconds and no more. we'll start with the deadliest outbreak of ebola. an atlanta hospital preps to treat a second american with the virus. an american missionary is set to arrive at the hospital as early as tomorrow after contracting the disease while serving in liberia. dr. kent brantley, who was also infected while treating patients, arrived at the hospital on saturday. and according to the director of the cdc, he seems to be improving. we also learned the medical missionary received an experiment experimental serum before arriving in the u.s.
2:31 am
the doctor initially refused the treatment because there was only enough for one person. 1,400 people have been infected across west africa and more than 800 have died. the director of the cdc says we can prevent the disease from spreading to the u.s. >> we know how to stop ebola. it's old-fashioned play and simple health. find the patients. make sure they get treated. find their contracts. you do those things. but you have to do them well. and ebola goes away. residents in ohio's fourth-largest city are starting a third day without running water. just a few hours ago, toledo mayor michael collins announced new results that show toxins are still in the drinking water. the initial alert went out on saturday, when the governor of ohio deemed the water supply off-limits after tests revealed a toxin related to algae on lake

2:38 am
>> wow. senator mcconnell was next to go on the stage. in his speech, linking grimes to one of the most unpopular figures in the democratic party. >> by any standard, barack obama has been a disaster for our country. that's what you get for electing someone with no experience. he was only two years into his first job when he started campaigning for the next one. sound familiar? with so much turmoil around the world, we can't afford the leader who thinks the west bank is a hollywood fund-raiser. there's only one way to go, in a different direction. that's to take the senate. >> rand paul was also on-hand at this event. earlier in the day, mitch mcconnell alluded to paul's presidential ambitions.
2:39 am
saying if he chose to run, he would be the most credible candidate since henry clay. paul took a different strategy. >> there once was a woman from kentucky, who thought in politics she would be lucky. so, she flew to l.a., for a hollywood bash, she came home in a flash with buckets of cash. to liberals she whispers, coal makes you sick. in kentucky, she claims coal makes us tick. one thing that we know is true, one thing we know is guaranteed, she'd cast her first vote for harry reid. >> well. fancy farm, the place to be this weekend in kentucky. in the most recent polling, it's a tight race. a new poll has mcconnell up two
