new york times doesn't get enough of it. and from fox news reads will gop party like it's 1996. i think everyone ought to be thinking they are getting ahead of themselves. there's always in having spent so many years in the middle of the country, there's always this attitude that the liberals are on the east and west coast and no democrats in between and republicans back it up by showing you the last map by showing you how much red is out there. this is going to be a razor finish. this is going to be tight. this is going to be photo finish in many areas. especially this headline from the guys over at fox. if you look at what's going on around the country, i think republicans look desperate. when it comes down to the party of progress, the party of ideas, the party that has done
2:03 pm
something to help the economy, i believe, will be okay. case in point, north republicans congress kevin cramer, i think he's put himself in a tough spot. this is a sign of desperation, as i see it. he is running this ad that veterans in north dakota have said we don't appreciate this. >> our veterans are owed a special place in our heart. that's why i have worked to fund honor flights so they can visit their memorial. in congress i fought hard against cuts to veteran benefits. nothing has angered me more than how the va has treated our veterans around this country and that is going to change. i'm kevin cramer and i approve this message because we're going to honor our veterans to the surface to our country. >> the setting not so good. there's a few problems. if cramer had to bother to ask for permission he would have been denied to be able to do

republicans in the middle of the country to get the old folks, to get the base they have had so many years, to get the veterans to vote their way. then we have david purdue in george, trying to take over the senate seat that is being vacated by chambliss. on friday, a report surf surfaced about his long history about outsourcing jobs, he said he's proud of it. that's what he had to say about it. wait a minute, wasn't the 2012 election, where president obama had a theme he cared about workers and the other guy only
2:06 pm
47%. remember all that. i remember going to freeport, illinois that jobs were outsourced and it being a big theme across the country that outde outde outsourcing jobs is not a good thing. so not a good thing. ion someone needs to remind him outsourcing jobs have devastated the middle class and middle class is paying attention. this chart shows his practices have basically crushed american jobs. outsourcing hurts the economy, the middle class, the mid class has dropped in this country from the recovery of the recession. you can go with the democrats. this is a great opportunity to stand up and say what you think about our country. the economy has seen 55 months of private sector job growth. that's a record.

obamacare is on a roll. whether you like it or not. the numbers are numbers. this is how many people have been effect in our society because we now have new standards in held ng care. standards in health care. even this week walmart came on board with ob obamacare announced 20,000 of their stores, their staffers, with insurance agents, they will staff their stores with insurance agents to help customers enroll in obamacare. republicans as i see it are pretty much delusional. they think all this good news will help them. >> the fact of the matter is what this election will come down to is whether or not people feel better off today than they did four or five years ago.

2:10 pm
in fact, he had to pull the ad. there are people calling for his apology. i spoke to the general today who is appointed by a republican governor with conservative roots and said this ad is inappropriate. we spoke to the attorney general for the state of north dakota, another conservative man saying this is inappropriate. this ad needs to come down. it puts the funding for our veteran cemetery at risk. he never asked one person before he went out to that veteran s cemetery before he cut that ad. >> how does it put the funding at risk. >> because the cemetery is subsidized by the federal government and their rules are clear, saying, that cemetery cannot be used for any political purposes by any party.
2:11 pm
imagine if the president cut an ad at the tomorrow of the unknown soldier. the two gentleman in that ad one is a state senator, he's standing there saluting, i called him, his name is ron carl i'll. i said what are you doing, what are you saluting. he said i'm not saluting anything. he said we were just cutting a political ad. it was basically acting using the tombstones of fallen soldiers as their prop and democrats and republicans are mad. >> so this basically is a staged commercial about his support for veterans. i can't take issue with the copy. i can't take issue with how he feels about veterans and what he wants to do but the fact he's

voted to cut veterans benefits makes him a huge hip cypocrithy doesn't it. >> it's either arrogance or ignorance, tell me which one, because kevin cramer has plenty of both. i can do whatever i want, i'm a republican from a red state, or it is flat out ignorance. >> do you think this is a sign of desperation on his part? >> you know, the poll numbers for george showed him up too, in a red state, in an off election year. people doubted those polls. the republicans came out and said those polls just can't be true. well, when you start making moves like this and members of your own party come out against you, i think the word desperation is fair. >> what about the hype that the republicans are going to roll in a month? >> well, they probably will do well in the elections this year but will do terribly in 2016, i'm sure.
2:13 pm
look, there's a larger issue here, which is virtually all of these scandals we have seen in the last few years, whether it is the vet eraned administratio, secret service, problems at the irs, problems with cdc, it all cít> down to one thing, which is republicans have cut their budgets and then the service is cut back and then the republicans attack these agencies because their service has been cut back and somehow or other they blame all of it on obama who had nothing to do with it. it's all about slashing government willie nilly without any concern whatsoever for the quality of the services that they exist to provide. >> what do you make of the outsourcing comments when jobs are really at the top of the list. jobs in the economy. things haven't changed much
2:14 pm
since the 2012 election. what about that? >> well, i think he's in a tough position. he can't very well deny his own business role in outsourcing, so i think he's trying to do the best he has can with what he has. >> but the republicans don't have any answer on this. to ship a job over seas is that just the accepted business practice in this country, when families do feel the pinch on all of this and then when they come back into the economy they are not making the kind of money they were making before. how do the republicans win on that? >> the same way they have been for skm some years. they keep claiming big businesses and rich people are the job creators, they carry the rest of us on their backs, they're over taxed and over regulated and for some reason people buy this but eventually she will

they will go back to that same well one to many times and people will realize this is all nonsense. >> why does president obama have problems in the middle of the country. is it race? we have come out of the greatest recession. why does it play in the middle of the country. >> i think president obama's biggest problems in the middle of the country is at times he forgets we are here. i think he's had opportunities to come to north dakota, put a foot print here and other areas, he's been to north dakota now. he came to standing rock reservation and it went over great. it played out great. when it flooded, president obama had an opportunity with an air force base to come and tell the 25

bullying as constitutesed by the definition within the anti-bullying statute that took place on a pervasive level, on a wide-scale level, and at a level in which the players knew, tolerated and in general, accepted. this district and this board of education is making a unified stand to say no -- no to bullying. >> some parents are angry that the entire team is being punished for the alleged actions of just a few players. >> it's unfair for the kids that didn't get a chance to play this year that had nothing to do with it. >> the community itself, we're look family. >> you're still proud of this community? >> absolutely. absolutely. >> it just very devastating. it's very sad for parents and the players. >> this conversation goes far beyond allegations against this team alone. hazing and bullying is a reality teenagers and young adults

across this country face. the national football league, i think, has an opportunity to set an example for conduct for young people. take this gentleman, for example, nfl quarterback russell wilson addressed his bullying past. he wrote, our hits, our anger, our aggressive behaviors need to be regulated and confined to the field. recent incidents of domestic violence have forced the league, its fans and players to take a hard look into our collective conscience. perhaps the nfl should really make a conscious effort to talk about sayerville high school and their football team being expelled for the rest of the year, season over, games canceled. that behavior has definitely an effect on people and this is a lesson that this school simply will not forget. now to the founder of stop cyber

bullying.com and also a privacy lawyer. you have dedicated your life to this as a volunteer. about bullying, did the superintendent do the right thing? >> i think so. we don't have all the details, but from what i heard, you needed a strong stand. it's tough being a superintendent in new jersey and taking a position like this in a winning school, but he did. i think it's important to each everyone in the school that everyone has a responsibility to stop bullying. >> why is it harder in new jersey than any other state? >> new jersey has the toughest laws on bullying in the world. and the school has obligations to act in a certain way. i think this superintendent and the school board to backed him decided to really make a point and teach all of them a lesson. >> and the announcement to end the season follows word of a criminal investigation by county prosecutor. this is about as far as it goes, isn't it, if that is the case? >> it absolutely is the case. and that's all that you can do is hope they'll look at it.

this is the state of tyler clemen clementi, the young man who jumped off the washington bridge after someone in rutgers videotaped a private act and humiliated him. the state takes it serious now. >> in your years of working with bullying and this social phenomenon for young people, will a decision like this make a difference, do you think? >> i think so. i think it outlines the fact that new jersey laws are different and that now people involved in the education system are going to take strong stands against it. it's not a matter of fighting against the laws you think are too tough. now we're adopting them, saying, we have a responsibility for how our children behave, the atmosphere at the school and now we'll do something about it. >> are there coaches around? do the coaches not know this kind ofáx$avior was going on? are they just unsupervised äin8ers with a bunch of part-timers? >> i think that's what the investigation will show. but in this case, there are a lot of people who saw what was going on and did nothing about

it. the superintendent wants to get the bystanders to be upstanders. don't stand by, stand up. teaching them what to do and when to do it. >> what could have been done to prevent this? he used -- the superintendent used the word "pervasive," meaning this was going on and people knew about it and no one stepped up until it got totally out of control is what it sounds like. it does. and though the details aren't out there, freshmen boys would rush to the locker room to get changed for the seniors would arrive. that's the kind of things the adults would see and i think the superintendent was reacting and saying adults and other people responsible for this did nothing. everyone's going to be punished. >> i roped the nfl into this because one of their players was bold enough to talk about bullying in his past. is that what has to happen? >> i think so. and he's doing work on domestic violence this is different from what we do. hopefully the nfl will reach out
