christie says the same policy is in that state. they face growing criticism and white house pressure for requiring 21-day quarantined from those returning from west africa if they had contact with ebola patients. governor christie is defending the plan and denies he was contacted by the white house. >> i don't believe, when you're dealing with something as serious as this, that we can count on a voluntary system. this is government's job. if anything else, protect the safety and health of our citizens. so we have take en this action. i have no second thoughts about it. i believe it will be a national policy sooner rather than later. >> it puts governor christie at odds with one of the nation's top health officials who say the quarantines could have unintended consequences. >> the best way to stop the epidemic is to send people over from the usa and other places.

all right, so some very, very sad news from major league baseball. and st. louis cardinals outfielder oscar tavares died yesterday in the dmon can republic. he lost control of as i camaro. just 22 years old. he was well-achieved, and considered one of the top prospects. his 18-year-old girlfriend was also in the car and died in that accident. so sad for the st. louis team and everybody watching that man. sad for the 18-year-old girlfriend in the vehicle. still ahead on "way too early," get to baseball, talk about the world series. why the royals met their match. the giants making it look easy in last night's world series game. and you can lead a horse to water, and then when you do, gets stuck in the family pool.
