tried to negotiate with state officials. >> i don't want to hurt anyone in the public, but i don't think this is an acceptable line to be drawn. when we let stigma win, we all lose. we have to fight it from the beginning. i have been told if friends come to my house, they can't hug me, they have to stay three feet away from me. i am not symptomatic. you are telling me i can't hug my friend after i have been fighting a tough battle for four weeks in west africa. it's painful. it's emotionally draining. >> without naming names, president obama criticized people -- >> when i hear people talking about american leadership and then promoting policies that would avoid leadership and have us running in the opposite

that businesses create jobs. well the problem in america today is that not enough jobs are being created. they are created by businesses where people's income rise where they can live a life of purpose and meaning independent of government. that should be the mission. >> clinton and bush say they are deciding if they are going to make a run for the white house in 2016. senator rand paul is not mincing words when it comes to the problems or failings. the newspaper reports the kentucky senator said his brand sucks telling the brand, remember dominos pizza? they said hey, our pizza sucks. african-americans have had nothing to do with republicans. why? because of a perception. the perception is no one in the republican party cares. paul made his remarks at a gop

field office in detroit. he returned. we turn now to hawaii's big island and the flow of lava inching slowly but surely to a residential area. they will be on the scene in pahoa. as it looms to the residential neighborhood, it is a sight. we have more on the story from above. >> we are at the tip of the spear. this is the edge of the pahoa lava flow. 40 to 50 homes are potentially in the direct path of the lava. >> getting smokey in here. >> this home is a lucky one. the flow path is within a few hundred yards of the house. it doesn't look like the lava is moving, but it is. it's going from five yards an hour to 20 yards an hour. this is so slow moving, the lava

on top is hardening and blackening. there's red hot lava underneath. it feels like we are in a furnace. we are close to the lava. you can see the breakouts. we can barely breathe. it's smokey and thick. this is feeding the lava flow heading over the town of pahoa. it's basically a bathtub full of lava. it acts as insulation keeping the lava hot. that crust is like ice on a lake. underneath are the tubes funneling the lava toward civilization. it's been about 17 weeks and this thing has traveled 12 miles. it shows no sign of stopping just yet. it's nature at its most powerful. breathtakingly beautiful. dangerous and devastating. >> yes, stunning from above. dangerous and devastating from

time for sports and game seven of the world series. this was one to watch. the giants jump out to an early lead. bring home sandoval and hunter pence. the royals match up in the bottom of the inning. scored billy butler from first. advancing to third on a flyout. gordon scores on a sac fly by omar infante tieing the game at two. the top of the fourth, morris hits to the right giving san francisco a 3-2 lead. the giants decide that they won't take anymore chances bringing in ace pitcher, madison bum gardner after two days of rest. gordon hits a single in front of

october. what we have coming is exceptionally cold. we have a winter storm watch. we are expecting four to eight inches of snow in the mountains of north carolina. that's the first time we have said that. above 2,500 feet. that is more saturday than friday. today's forecast, not bad. around the country, quiet. showers and storms in north florida and the dallas area. the cold is coming down. chicago, 52 today. for halloween, your high temperature, 41. it's going to be windy with rain and snow showers. you get the picture, it's not a fun trick or treating forecast. kansas city, 44 degrees for halloween. there's cold air coming down from the north. that cold air goes into the northeast, by the way, over the weekend. we mentioned the chance for snow. that is now looking, thomas to be more eastern maine, nova scotia, new england. we are going to avoid the nor'easter. it will be cold and blustery in the northeast, but no snow.

it's time now for the cooler and everyone's known a family that maybe has a lot of boys. get this. you are going to meet this family known for all sons and it's truly an extreme. a michigan family expecting baby 13. they have a dozen boys. their little one is 15 months old. the oldest is 22. parents, will welcome another baby. the mom puts it, if we were to have a girl, we would go into shock. they are going to wait until the little one arrives in may to find out his or her gender. you would think the odds are in their favor at this point.
