much of the country is facing a rough weather week with biting winds and even some snow. the midwest is bracing for the impact get. ing out snowplows and salt for what may be the first serious snowfall of the season. bill karins has all the details. i don't want to hear it yet. >> you have the gloves and hat ready? >> somewhere in the closet. >> you don't need it here on the east coast until thursday. the middle of the country, you're first. this is what the map will look like by the end of the week. it's not that they are going to be record shattering. it's not that unusual to have an arctic outbreak. it is mid-november. what's unusual is the duration, how long it's going to last. the cold air is starting to settle south wards. teens in central canada. that's the mass that's going to invade the eastern two-thirds of the country. the blue shows you cold, the purple is really cold. there's not a lot of purple on the map in the united states. so it's cold, but it's not the brutally cold. that stays up into canada.

year. the focus of this trip will be trade, the economy and also restarting his so-called pivot to asia. critics have said that other crises have made asia an afterthought. it's been a busy day filled with high level talks including his first meeting on chinese soil. the president came baring gifts. he announced a a new visa agreement aimed at making travel easier and generating big dollars for both countries. it comes on the heels of good news. north korea releasing the two remaining detainees. in remarks earlier today, the president praised the release but it's going to take more than that to ease tensions between the two nations. that will undoubtedly be a big topic of conversation over the next two days, as will china's record on human rights. that's a concern for the united

states. president obama rounds out his trip in uaustralia for the g-20 summit. no plans for vladimir putin and the president to meet with tensions running high between the two countries. iraqi officials say weekend airstrikes injured several commanders. both have issued statements saying the leader of isis has been wounded, but. u.s. officials are now investigating whether those claims are true. so far there is no official confirmation. pentagon leaders say they have no information on whether he was injured. as kristin welker mention. ed, two american prisoners held in north korea are back on u.s. oil. ken nebraska bea and matthew miller are back with their families. >> thank you all for supporting me and standing by me through
