music mogul marian suge knight is set to be arraigned today. but right now, he's being held without bail and could face life in prison if convicted. he has been charged with murder attempted murder and two counts of hit and run after he allegedly ran over two men with his pickup truck last week killing one and injuring another. his lawyer called it a tragic accident. monday night $2.2 million bail was revoked. the l.a. county sheriff's department tells the "l.a. times" his bail was pulled because he's a possible flight risk and a three strike candidate. they also say he has possible witness intimidation issues and a criminal past and because he has prior convictions, the murder charges would count as knight's third strike sending him to prison for life. good morning, landon. >> good good morning to you. energy stocks led the way on the back of another rise in oil prices. crude is above $50 auto barrel

today. look for data this morning on factory orders and earnings from u.p.s. a big retail merger is in the works. stachelles and office depot are discussing a deal. regulators rejected previous deals. automakers report january sales later today. they're expected to rise about 14% from a year ago, despite the fact that january is the slowest month of the year because of bad weather and a holiday spending hangover. analysts expect ford to report the strongest sales. in sports the longest winning streak, it's over. the hawks end the 19-game winning streak. the hawk's previous loss was on december 26th against the bucks. mavs point guard rondo will miss at least three games after suffering facial fractures during saturday's game against the magic. it's not known yet if it's going

welcome back on this chilly tuesday morning in the eastern half of the country. this snowstorm, another overachiever in some cases. we ended up in boston with 16 inches of snow. when we add that on top of the 30 inches from last time we have our period of record for the most snow ever in a seven days, going back to the recorded history. so a very historic week for snow in the boston area. of course we already talked about chicago. yesterday, albany new york picked up about a foot of snow. providence, 18 inches. these windchills this morning will really grab your attention. the second you head out the door still the lowest i've found is glenn falls at negative 22. we're at 6 as far south as philadelphia. it's not fun in boston either. negative 14 windchills. i know there's a lot of know to be shoveled. was next? two more storms in the next week. the first one, this is a weak

more women than ever in congress but with less power than before. after the november elections, for the frt time women hold more than 100 seats in congress. although the numbers are up the number of females in leadership positions is going down. for instance the times says there used to be a record nine women leading committees under the democrat-led senate. there are now only two female chair women. as for a former female senator from msnbc.com, hillary clinton eyes new york city campaign headquarters. sources tell msnbc the new home base could be in brooklyn or queens, both gentrifying locations that could give the campaign a youthful field. the support from rapper pit bull is on. one gop strategist says he's used the florida connection to pitch jeb bush to him. he's also a businessman and has smartphone a commitment to education. to the washington post now,
