nd republicans over nuclear talks with iran have escalated to a new phase. >> you're looking at the front page of this morning's daily news. just out and it's critical about a possible agreement with iran but this morning it's calling the 47 gop senators traitors. and it's saying that because they sent a warning all right to teheran about a possible nuclear deal. the all right was written the senator from a arkansas who says he opposed the talks. >> this is about stopping iran from getting a nuclear bomb. the allies cannot live with a nuclear iran. >> all right >> if lawmakers are not on board the all right says it would be an executive agreement adding the next president could revoke such agreement with a stoke of a pen and future congresss could modify the terms of the agreement at any time. >> the letter has a significant

of four presidential candidates on this and also 7 republican senators that did not sign include foreign relations committee chairman who insiders say was not pleased. president obama didn't hold back his criticism of those who signed the letter either. >> i think it's somewhat ironic to see some members of congress wanting to make common cause with the hard liners in iran. it's an unusual coalition. i think what we're going to focus on right now is seeing whether we can get a deal or not and once we do then we'll, if we do then we'll be able to make the case to the american people and i'm confidence we'll be able to implement it many. >> joe biden said the letter expressly designed to undercut a sitting president in the midst of the sensitive international negotiations is beneath the dignity of an institution i

move along. despite all the controversy clinton cloin remains comfortable. the latest poll near universal support from democrats and the poll was in the field while this e-mail story was unfolding. and when asked whether clinton needed a primary challenger, 38% of democratic voters felt she did. so as we've been saying for sometime this e-mail story is not going to penetrate, i think mainstream america. >> but there are broader head winds for people like clinton and jeb bush. more people are seeking change. valuing transformation over experience. 60% say a jeb bush presidency would be a return to the ps and that includes 42% of republicans. about half say clinton represents a return to the ps. and "the new york times" argues

her numbers in a general election have eroded. her five rablt ratings for high as secretary of state but the gap in polls lately has closed. she's now under 50% putting her in the same territory as president obama and mitt romney in 2012. >> and democrats could not care less. let's go to oklahoma university where the university is rallying this morning after the members of a fraternity for caught on camera chanting racist remarks. it shows members of sae referencing lynching. soon after it surfaced the university severed ties with the organization and on campus in norman, oklahoma a widespread response from students and university officials alike. this is what a university and

the university president should do when there are members of their community that are singled out. it is a shame that ucla decided to use the targeting of a jewish student as nothing more than a learning moment. we go to nbc news in oklahoma and has more on the story from oklahoma university. in good morning, gabe. >> good morning. the university's president said he could not eat or sleep after first watching this video. all the members of the fraternity who lived in the house behind me have been ordered to move out. >> the video first posted sunday has sparked national outrage. now a second recording from a different angle shows members of the fraternity sigma alpha epsilon at the university of oklahoma chanting racial slurs.

national office of the delta delta delta vorty says it is corroborating with the investigation. a woman clapping along with the video has yet to be video. regarding the police shooting of an unarmed teenager close to 2,000 students gathered in the state's capitol on monday to protest the shooting of tony robinson who was shot last friday by the police officer. nbc reports from madison. >> reporter: the high school students at a real life civics lesson walks out of class and taking to the streets and a recent high school grad was shot and killed friday night by an officer, a 12-year police veteran. >> you can't shoot an innocent guy. reports of trouble at a gas

40% of the streetlights in detroit, at one point, did not work. you had some blocks and you had major thoroughfares and corridors that were just totally pitch black. those things had to change. we wanted to restore our lighting system in the city. you can have the greatest dreams in the world, but unless you can finance those dreams, it doesn't happen. at the time that the bankruptcy filing was done, the public lighting authority had a hard time of finding a bank. citi did not run away from the table like some other bankers did. citi had the strength to help us go to the credit markets and raise the money. it's a brighter day in detroit. people can see better when they're out doing their tasks, young people are moving back in town the kids are feeling safer while they walk to school. and folks are making investments and the community is moving forward. 40% of the lights were out, but they're not out for long.they're coming back.

in i don't think we're going to get tornadoes out of this. we're off to one of the slowest tornado seasons in record. that's great. that's one good thing about the cold and misery. you don't get the severe weather. minneapolis at 62 degrees. if that's not spring i don't know what is and the d.c. area and new york rain late today. a lot of you driving to work will actually drive to work dry but come home with the wipers on. >> it's amazing. all the weather this year has seemed to be in the east coast. it seems like the west has been sunny and warm all year. >> a lot of people in the west are getting mad because they have a horrible drought and they didn't get the snow. temperatures are off the charts warm and it's like every single day i can't say the same thing but that's the case. it's a broken record. >> as bad as ours has been out west a terrible drought. it's beautiful. >> thank you, bill. what's ahead joe.
