berman. at this hour durst is being held in louisiana without bail. he's awaiting extradition to los angeles. we have the latest. >> reporter: robert durst sat in a louisiana criminal court at times with his eyes closed facing extradition for the murder of his long time friend susan berman. he looked frail as he rose to speak to the judge indicating he did sign the waiver which will send him to los angeles for trial. >> he's ready to end the speculation and rumor and have a trial. >> he has been the subject of an hbo documentary series which takes a look back at the 1982 disappearance of his wife a 2001 murder that he claimed was self-defense, and the murder he was arrested for late saturday. the show's finale aired saturday

multiple awards. we are also learning new details about what happened after the boston marathon bombing. in court on monday a police officer described eight minutes of chaos. members of the jury also got an upclose look at a key piece of evidence. pete williams has more. >> reporter: water town police say they feared for their lives three days after the bombing. >> a state police officer at the scene suggested there were two people they had. >> reporter: when they caught up with the suspects. police say the brothers jumped out of their cars in this quiet neighborhood and began shooting and throwing bombs. when they tackled one, the other ran over his brother as he fled. during the shoot out they used the carjacked suv as cover. a month after the bombing one officer said he came face to face after tamerlan.
