unfortunately she missed the invite because they sent the e-mail to her work e-mail. good morning, everyone. it's wntsdz march 18th. welcome to "way too early." we begin in israel where prime minister netanyahu is eyeing a fourth term defying expectations and the most recent polls, his party surged to pick up 30 seats in parliament. he said the win came against all odds and netanyahu is urging other parties on the right to help him form a strong and stable government to protect the security of israel. the negative tone of the race is leading to a lot of questions about the future this morning, what will the fallout be to comments he made about the turnout from israeli arabs. he wrote in part, quote, the right wing government is in

danger arab voters are coming out in droves to the polls. what will the relationship be going forward between israel and the united states? there have been rocky ties for years between netanyahu and president obama. netanyahu's speech to congress without white house approval only strained those ties further. is there any hope for peace talks after netanyahu vowed there won't be a palestineian state if he's re-elected? now the man who's the special envoy for middle east peace when he endorsed a two-state solution is now speaking out. former senator george mitchell said he's troubled by that last-minute reversal. >> the fact that he did on the last day suggested that he probably would prefer to win without it but felt it was necessary, it's very painful for

me because when i was in the region, i met with the leaders of nearly 20 arab country and almost exception they did not believe his statement when he made it in 2009 that he supported a two-state solution. they said to me very buntly he's not telling the truth and he's not sincere, i argued he was the prime minister, he set the policy they should take it as a positive and build on that to get a two-state solution. all right, he made headlines for his abs, his office decor, but after weeks plagued by questions of his spending habits representative aaron schock announced he'll resign.

i get it. >> reporter: but new question surfaced monday. the chicago sun-times reported that schock may have overbuild for mileage. schock claimed about 170,000 miles, but public records showed his vehicle had only been driven 80,000 miles. >> schock's office said he plans to pay back six years of mileage. he didn't notify john boehner about his intention to step down. the seat is expected to stay in republican control. congress and the public weren't the only ones kept in the dark about the latest scandal surrounding the secret service, it turns out that the agency's own director didn't know about an alleged drinking and driving incident about two agents until yesterday. a march 5th incident this month, two secret services who alleged

to have been drinking drove into a barricade. clancy was grilled by lawmakers. >> i'll say that it's going to take time to change maybe some of this culture. there's no excuse for this information not to come up the chain. that's going to take time because i'm going to have to build trust with our work force and the best way for me to -- to earn that trust with our work force is by my action and your actions in my judgment should be punishment termination, firing people who have subordinated their command. you can't run an agency like this or any other agency unless you have discipline in the ranks. >> clancy also addressed a pattern of alcohol use within the agency. >> there's an element within our agency that coaches with the stresses that many of you have

majority. marco rubio said he would defy european allies and revoke a nuclear deal with iran if he was elected president. rubio one of 47 republicans who signed the controversial letter to iran said the next president should, quote, not be bound by any agreement. this comes as a new poll finds 44% of americans believe that the letter will have no impact on the negotiations with iran nearly half said the letter was inappropriate, including one-third of all republicans and more than two-thirds say they support direct diplomatic talks with iran over their nuclear program. let's turn to business now. the dow closed in the red dropping 128 points. meanwhile, health insurer premier blue cross announced on tuesday that it's been hacked.

♪ ♪ time now for sports. san francisco linebacker chris borland made headlines after becoming the fourth player under 30 to announce his retirement from the nfl this past week the most shocking part, his decision was made over concerns about long-term effects of head trauma. now raising questions about what this could mean for the future of the league. the 24-year-old spoke to espn's "outside the lines" about the decision to retire after this rookie season. >> i think the thing that convey to youth and to parents, just make an informed decision if you weigh the risks and you did this is something that you can partake in this is a free country. nfl will exists for a long time.
