counterterrorism units are out across new york city this morning. the video warns of another 9/11 style attack and includes images of voirs isis atrocities in the world trade center attack. the nypd says there is no evidence of a credible threat. the video shows an assault by isis on 3,000-year-old city in iraq. the militants appear to use electric drills and saws to destroy art destroy art facts on a site. we are not able to verify the video. >> a recent attack in the northeast eastern part of the country reportedly left 18 afghan soldiers dead. officials say government forces were only able to retake the area after calling in reinforcements from the capital. it comes as spring fighting season begins in afghanistan and

some numbers suggest it could be violent. civilian casualties from fighting on the ground were up 8% from the same period last year. now to a story out of oklahoma. adding to the debate over law enforcement's use of force. 73-year-old robert bates, a volunteer sheriff's department was charged with manslaughter monday after a video showed him shooting 4 4-year-old erik harris after a sting operation. harris was unarmed and the sheriff's office claims it was an accident. here's kevin tibls with more. >> police video of a sting operation in oklahoma. the suspect bolts from undercover agents with the tulsa county sheriff office and is chased. a scuffle is picked up by a body cam. one department says taser.

battle between congress and the president effectively related to dod frank. and congressional leaders coming under pressure from wall street lobbyists to roll back some of the protective legislation around consumers and lending as part of the dod frank bill. white house has taken a position on both of these bills which relate to lending fees effectively. enough said. we will veto these because we think it's not a good idea at this stage in the recovery to be attempting to chip away at dod frank. expect some more noise and heat on both of these bills. just moving you along, i know this is a story that a lot of people who read and write books are very interested in. we finally have a deal it seems, from harper collins and amazon. the publisher and the online retailer have been at odds for

years now over the way that books are being sold through amazon and whether they are sold at too deep a discount as far as the publishers are concerned. well, it looks like they have agreed to bury the hatchet for the time being. we have a multiyear here. harper collins will probably reduce the price of their books to meet amazon halfway. a couple of interesting stories but probably neither of these are going to have a major impact on how we see the street trade today. >> a new poll shows a significant increase in the number of americans covered by health insurance. who has benefitted the most from the affordable care act from your reading right now? >> this is interesting because we have hillary clinton here just launching her election campaign and 2016 around the corner and we know the affordable care act was a very

very complicated and controversial issue as far as republicans and democrats are concerned. i think this is one of the president. it does appear as though we've seen a dramatic increase in those who have health care coverage now. nine out of ten according to this survey and around 15 million people under the scheme have joined since the first round in 2013. and primarily the people who are benefitting here are those who would not get coverage through employment for whatever reason maybe they're low-paid or their employer doesn't offer it. but they can get some top up on their private schemes. so i think, you know net, net, not a bad thing to see more americans covered here with private health insurance. that has to be a good news story, i guess. back to you. >> something our cousins in the uk had 65 years ago, we're just learning about it.

not a lot of rain to the north. a big soaking mess today. west virginia, virginia the d.c. area south, richmond getting into some of it. also notice how warm it is. we're near 90 in the southeast. that'll spark thunderstorms later today. it doesn't get much better than this. denver, you're great and this is the warmest you're going to be for a little while. 53 tomorrow. we are going to see snow in the high elevations of the rockies over the next couple of days. the rain i talked about yesterday in the south is still going to happen on and off all this week. we could end up with as much as 5 inches of rain in new orleans. this is a pretty good soaking rain for the south. the other thing you'll notice i'm not talking about any tornadoes the rest of this week. normally this is the second most popular month for tornadoes. in may about 270. we average 227 tornadoes in april. so far we've had 35 and we're halfway through the month. notice march, only 13. normal was 96.

visit all 50 states off his bucket list. he announced in early may he travel to south dakota to deliver the commencement address at lake area technical institute. south dakota is the only state he has yet to visit south dakota. george w bush came close to visiting all states but that heat of conservetism vermont. the los angeles-bound alaska airlines flight was forced to land after discovering an airport worker fell asleep in the cargo hold. 14 minutes after takeoff the plane's captain heard banging from beneath the plane and returned to the airport where a ramp agent emerged from the front of the cargo hold. according to an airline statement upon exiting the man admitted he'd fallen asleep. thankfully the employee was treated and they are discharged
