"first look" starts now. good morning, everybody. happy friday to you. let's talk about isis in ohio. there have been a hand full of cases about americans trying to head to syria to join isis. one man from ohio is accused of not only receiving terrorist trang abroad but coming back to the u.s. with plans to carry out an attack. the man from ohio has been charged with supporting terrorism. prosecutor or thes say they went two months in syria getting trained. according to court documents he came back to ohio and told others he wanted to target the military or anyone in uniform h. he also allegedly wanted to kill three or four american soldiers execution style. experts say his arrest is the first since isis began recruiting. >> this is the first case of an american traveling overseas to syria training with terrorist groups there and then returning

home to be arrested and indicted. >> the man is expected to appear in court for arrangement later this morning. also this afternoon we are hearing the call from the bag ganl handler trapped in the cargo hold of an alaska airlines plane. >> hello. i'm trapped in this plane and i called my job but i'm in this plane. >> you're where? >> i'm inside the plane and i feel like it's moving in the air. >> inside the plane passengers could hear banging from blow. the man trapped after waking up from a nap. the 9-1-1 dispatcher still in disbelief. >> where are you in a plane at? >> i'm inside the plane. alaska airlines plane. >> are you by yourself or with somebody somebody. >> the flight was in the air for 14 minutes. the call lasted only 48 seconds. the pilot made an emergency

landing and the man walked off the plane. he worked for a third party baggage company but he has since been banned from working for alaska airlines. >> a woman did something bizarre on a southwest airlines flight. the woman was trying to silence a snoring seat mate. she allegedly grabbed a pen and started poking him in the arm. the man's friend tweeted out this photo. you can see ink on the sleeve. the woman was taken off the flight and so far no word on any charges. flying a personal helicopter in our nation's capital will land you in hot water. the man who flew his continuer under the radar to land on the capitol lawn has been charged with two criminal offenses. douglas hughes has been placed

in home detention in florida and is not allowed to operate any u.s. aircraft. his next court hearing is sit for may 8th. there's been a nasty battle boiling for months now but this morning things could be primed to burst. republicans have been stalling the installment of loretta lynch. larry reed says he may break protocol and force a vote. >> we put up with this for far the too lock and we're either going to have a vote on her or i'll create one. i know parliament procedure around here and we're going to put up with this for a little while longer but not much. >> and presidential nominee jeb bush says the senate should move forward on the confirmation out of deference to the executive. thankfully a lighter moment

a severe weather outbreak sprung more than a dozen tornadoes on thursday with at least eight of them in texas. this one was captured by storm chasers and the threat is not over yet. let's get the latest on this. happy friday. for some folks this may be a dangerous one.
