mayweather are slapped with lawsuits. manny pacquiao is hit with a suit for failing to disclose his shoulder injury before the bout. and if you had a ticket it was filed on your behalf. basically, the plaintiffs saying viewers didn't get what they paid for. the injury apparently happened during training. but pac-man says it didn't start bothering him until this fourth round. and floyd mayweather has his own legal fight now, too, with his ex-girlfriend. the mother of his three children. it's for $20 million. according to court documents obtained by e! online he lied about her and defamed her in an interview when he said quote, did i restrain a woman that was on drugs? yes, i did. even with all that, mayweather told espn he would be willing to fight manny pacquiao again after recovery. drones are becoming

increasingly popular in everyday life. and today, the head of the federal aviation administration is expected to unveil two initiatives. the united states could see 1 million unmanned flights a day in the next 20 years. the government is encourage innovation while safeguarding the skies. tracie potts is live in washington. tracie good morning. >> reporter: two separate initiatives. that's coming out of what is a drone conference in atlanta, from the faa administrator. you might recall back in february, they put out proposed rules for dealing with drones under 55 pounds. well, those rules have drawn in more than 4,500 comments from members of the public. from hobbyists who want to fly their drones. from businesses. there is a big push by business to get these rules in place. restaurants and delivery services. and others. surveyors and realtors and journalists like us who wants to use the drones throughout the

united states. the faa has seven requests so far to certify drone use. they are concern about safety. remember the drone we saw crash on the white house lawn. the proposed rules say that the operator has to keep the drones in line of sight. they are also concerned, not only about the market but also able possibly interfering with aircraft. that's why the proposal would keep them five miles away from airports. we'll see what the faa administrator has to say about the two initiatives they're going to roll out in atlanta. >> tracie potts, thank for that report. a new twist in the freddie gray death investigation. wbal is reporting that a baltimore officer charged believed the arrest is legal. that officer is edward nero. he says the knife that gray had on him was barred under city law. prosecutors claim it wasn't. nero wants the state attorney's office to produce the knife.

doesn't it? the top of it is the wall cloud rotating in the base of the thunderstorm. in the center of the wall cloud is the funnel cloud, dropping down. you can see a little bit of debris on the bottom of the screen. so, that makes it a tornado. as soon as that funnel starts to whirl and whip the winds around on the surface. it is classified as a tornado. this is areas of texas, in open fields. no damage reported with that storm at all. that's the way we like it. let's talk about the interesting thing happening possibly off the southeast coast. we could look at our first named tropical system making landfall in the carolinas in three days. that gets your attention. it's going to be weak. and the effects will be minor. that's the good of it the right now, the system is disorganized. it is north of the bahamas, making for a raw day. the rip current is going to be high no matter what. and we'll deal with beach erosion also. as we go throughout the next five days the system is going to linger here, just off the southeast coast. right along the carolina

coastline, from friday through mother's day. including the indiana banks as late as monday. the storm's in no hurry at all. it's very weak. the rainfall predictions are low, too. i don't expect a lot of problems out of the system. even if it does become anna. as far as severe weather, we had some yesterday. heavy rains in oklahoma. as we go through this afternoon, a chance of additional tornadoes. most likely if they occur, it will be oklahoma into central kansas. large hail too. oklahoma city, included. about 3 million people at slight risk today. i do not expect an outbreak though. that's good. may is famous for outbreaks. so far, knock on wood not yet. >> let's hope it stays calm. officials are going all-out to head off a major threat in california. catastrophic drought. they have emergency drought rules for cities and agencies to save water. cutting usage. the u.s. water service says drought has killed 12.5 million
