lookout for severe weather in the threat zone. places like houston, memphis and detroit. it's packing hail heavy rain and possible tornadoes. it comes after a weekend of wild weather. in texas several reported twisters in cisco an ef-3 tornado left one person dead. outside of dallas there's flash flooding. up to 11 inches of rain. the national guard using boats and choppers to rescue people and in iowa a twister's direct hit. a tornado blasting a high school over 100 people were inside. no no one was seriously hurt. outside this is what the damage looked like. in south dakota a church de destroy destroyed, leaving people without power and water. >> surreal. you see pictures of it but you

don't ever think it's going to happen to you. in colorado, a wild sight, a twister tangled in a rainbow but in denver winter is still winning. up to 3 inches of snow there. the pentagon has ordered u.s. military bases to raise their security level for the first time since the tenth anniversary of 9/11. this is to counter the threat of isis inspired threats from domestic terrorists especially after the attack on an event near dallas last week. tracie potts to live with us this morning. what are they going to do to thwart isis attacks at home. >> they're watching recruiting stations. there is a concern about something happening at recruiting stations but no specifics. they don't know who, where, or when. there are more i'd checks and vehicle searches on 3,000 military bases this morning after isis claimed responsibility for the deadly

their communities. this is the first time the pentagon has raised the security level on the military bases since the tenth anniversary of 9/11. >> all right. thank you so much for that report. it is a startling situation. thousands of detain knees, two injured were jail. this morning in baltimore, new allegations piling onto a police force already undering investigation. according to records obtained by the baltimore sun, between june of 2012 and this year people were refused because of injuries deemed too severe. the records don't say how these people were injured. of them about 2% of them were injured. even if they were hurt while in custody. it does say they often don't

know about injuries during an arrest. last night in baltimore, an attempt to unit the city. prince put on a rally for peace concert in response to the death of freddie gray even saying his new song called baltimore, part of the streaming proceeds will go to the city's youth charities. to mississippi, suspects will face a judge today for gunning down to officers. >> reporter: hattiesburg, mississippi is coping with a double tragedy. >> here we are on mother's day. it's a tragedy for all america. it's a tragedy for our community. >> reporter: the officer who initiated a fateful traffic stop and his backup liquori tate were gunned down saturday night. the suspects fled in a cruiser, later found abandoned. after a massive man hunt police

arrested four suspects. marvin banks charged with two counts of tap tall murder as was joanie callaway. curtis banks charged as an accessory after the fact and another charged with obstruction of justice. >> we're not going to compromise the investigation. >> hattiesburg police have turned the case over to the mississippi bureau of investigation. as a department and a community deals with a sudden loss. brian moore nbc noose. >> also this. an employee at subway was fired after celebrating mississippi police death. subway had this to say. this kind of behavior is unacceptable and does not represent the values and ethics of our brand. moms love a call on mother's

well unfortunately another small texas town was hit. 30% of the town was hit by this tornado and some of the homes have been destroyed. 26 injuries. we'll continue to get reports out of van, texas. as the sun comes up we'll see how bad it is. as far as this tornado watch, we haven't had any tornados reported in a while. damaging winds in arkansas north ward. rapid city had over a foot of snow. it's still snowing this morning along the border of south dakota and north dakota. that's cruel for this time of year. today 57 million people still in the slight risk. the best chance of any

were injured and about two dozen buildings destroyed after a tornado ripped through the small town of dell mont. all residents have been evacuated until further notice. flash flooding led to rescues in texas. you can see the national guard air lifting people to safety. others were rescued from their front doors and some from their rooftops. if mother's day weekend came with so much lousy weather, why not wrap it up in a beautiful package. this twister with a rainbow. it is for today, 50 million people will remain at risk. bill karins is tracking the storm and we'll have the latest with his weather report. let's go to mississippi where three men and a woman have been charged in the fatal shooting of two police officers during a traffic stop in hattiesburg. officials say that 34-year-old benjamin dean and loirk tate were shot
