six u.s. soldiers were headed when it vanished. they were headed to bring aid to quake victims. kelly, what can you tell us about where they were found and what the condition was of this craft. >> >> we don't know too much at this point. we're still getting details of the crash site. it was found 8 miles south of charikot. it's a remote village in nepal. it was found at an elevation of more than 11,000 feet and teams spotted it at about 3:00 in the afternoon local time. they were delivering aid of the village when the chopper went down on tuesday. there were reports there was some sort of problem with the fuel before the chopper

investigation. >> reporter: from track level just a few feet from the wreckage of train 188, amtrak are using front end loaders. it was here dogs found the final victim a 48-year-old man. >> we believe we have now accounted for all 243 individuals that we believe were on amtrak train number 188 from tuesday night. >> we learned more about the engineer at the center of the investigation. 32-year-old brandon bostian was a conductor before becoming an engineer. his attorney told good morning america he was injured and does not remember the crash. his cell phone was turned off and in his bag as required by amtrak policy. >> the last thing he recalls is coming to, looking for his bag getting his cell phone turning it on and calling 9-1-1. >> the speed limit is posted at

80 miles per hour slowing to 50 in the curve. train 188 was traveling at 1 06 miles per hour when he slammed on the brakes. it was too late. the train went down the tracks and careened and took out four of these structures. now the challenge is get all of this rebuilt. at the crash scene amtrak ceo. what do you say to the americans who worry -- >> this is a safe railroad. you know this is the first time in 28 years that we've had this kind of a derailment with a loss that we've had. >> reporter: while most of the train cars have been relocated to a rail car road some remain at the scene as investigators continue to dig for answers. >> meanwhile an injured amtrak

workers filed the first lawsuit. they are accusing the company of negligence for failing to have safety system in place. new information is emerging about the eight people killed in the derailment as friends and family members grieve the loss of their loved ones. we have more on those being mourned. >> reporter: it's the news bob gildersleeve's family dreaded. his wife and two teenage children learned his body was found in the train wreckage. the news comes after his family including his 13-year-old son was passing out missing person flyers hoping their loved one would be found alive. >> seven families are home now making funeral arrangements and i hope i'm not number eight. >> reporter: now along with his son's death is the news 47-year-old woman also dying, a real estate executive whose

all 51 passengers and crew members are okay after being evacuated safely. the train was heading to milwaukee from chicago. the fire was put out in less than an hour but caused serious damage. the cause of the fire is still under investigation. the train derailment in philadelphia is leading to heated debate on capitol hill about funding for amtrak. one reporter asked boehner if republicans were to blame for lack of funding. >> are you going to ask? that's a stupid question. they started this yesterday. it's all about funding. it's not about funding. the train was going twice the speed limit. adequate funds were there. no money has been cut from rail safety and the house passed a bill earlier this spring to reauthorize amtrak and authorize a lot of these programs. it's hard for me to imagine that people take the bait on some of

the nonsense that gets spewed around here. >> some democrats criticize republicans on the house appropriations committee for cutting amtrak funding by $252 million exactly one day after the derailment. some republicans say democrats are trying to politicize the tragedy. turning to another incident involving a civilian drone in the white house. yesterday marked the second time in five months the secret service has discovered a drone flying in the vicinity of the building. officials say this one didn't make it over the fence but it did fly to within a block of the grounds coming down just across the street in lafayette square. they briefly went into lock down as a result. the man flying hasn't been identified. he reportedly cooperated with the officer's demands to land it. they say he has been turned over to the u.s. park police which has jurisdiction. here's a look at the drone he was flying at an altitude of

roughly 100 feet. it came after the day they reminded people that flying them in and around washington d.c. is prohibited. they are just turning up in a lot of odd places. it's the latest in a string of high profile security lapses in the nation's capitol. we're going to be asking secretary jay johnson about it later on "morning joe." it has been a rough week for florida former governor jeb bush. his answer about one of his older brother's biggest foreign policy decisions changed once again yesterday. kelly o'donnell reports. >> reporter: in arizona, jeb bush tried to clean up a political mess of his own making. >> knowing what we know now, what would you have done? i would not have engaged and gone into iraq. >> but that's a huge flip from what he said on monday.
