deadly in hawaii. it happened at bellows air force station. 22 marines were on board when it slammed into the ground. one marine died. this video is from the scene. the others were taken to the hospital. the unit was camp pendelton. a renowned daredevil athlete is dead this afternoon after a tragic base jumping accident. crews found the body of dean potter and another man. they were jumping from a point that is a 7500 point peak. they were apparently trying to fly between a gap but smashed into a rocky outcropping. their spotter recalls hearing two pops. he's known for his stunts. base jumping is illegal in yosemite, dean potter dead at

multimillion dollar mansion torched, a couple, a son, and a housekeeper killed. police are zeroing in on a person of interest. we have the report. >> reporter: authorities say the man in this video is a person of interest in the fire that ravaged this multimillion dollar home in washington thursday. four bodies were recovered. savopoulos couple and their ten-year-old son phillip and their housekeeper. police spotted the person of interest on a surveillance video after discovering the blue por issue 15 miles way torched near the camera. d.c.'s police chief said the fire was set intentionally. >> we can say that there were at least on three of the four victims, there were injuries discovered. ate appeared to be blunt force or sharp object injuries.

this wedge tornado struck near broken arrow. >> the roof is gone. it's chaos. >> reporter: trees were uprooted and power lines downed. at least 29 reports of tornadoes nine states from texas to minnesota. >> folks stay alert. this is a violent tornado and it is big. >> reporter: another round of lightning strikes outside oklahoma city. and more hail and flooding in north texas where the national guard helped rescue the ten people from their homes and cars. outside kansas city missouri residents were evacuated when this river flooded leaving homes under water. the severe weather there postponed a major league soccer game. in eastern kansas strong winds derailed this freight rain. in oklahoma, a state where twisters are, residents are cleaning up. >> let's get the latest on the storms. bill karins is here with a look

♪ good morning. it's monday may 18th. welcome to "way too early." we begin this morning in waco, texas where at least nine people are dead and 18 more injured after a confrontation sunday between rival biker gangs and a police shoot out. it happened outside the twin peaks restaurant in waco texas. police say eight people died at the scene and one more at a

nearby hospital. no police officers or bystanders were injured. the fight apparently broke out in the bathroom before spilling out into the bar and finally into the parking lot where the shooting began. waco police learned beforehand at least five rival gangs and 200 members from across texas were gathering at the restaurant. they had officers nearby in case of violence. >> our officers were here within seconds. when they approached the scene, there were multiple people on the scene firing weapons at each other. they then turned on our officers. our officers returned gunfire, wounding and possibly killing several. i don't know at this point. it'll be a while before we're able to determine that. i will tell you that in 34 years of law enforcement this is the worst crime scene, the most violent crime scene that i have ever been involved in. >> the sergeant went onto say that at least
