welcome back to "way too early." the president of the boy scouts of america says the organization's ban on openly gay leaders is no longer sustainable. the former defense secretary said thursday quote, we must deal with the world as it is not as we might wish it be. citing recent events gates warned if the boy scouts did not change on their own, the courts would likely force them to. we must all understand that will happen sooner rather than later. they voted to allow openly gate scouts but not leaders. now to television news. the ratings are in. 13.8 million people watched david letterman close out his late night career wednesday. that is astonishing numbers. largest audience since 1994.
