accidentally sent to as many as 20 military and commercial labs around the u.s. and as far away as south korea. they were radiated supposedly and active but last week a commercial lab in maryland found the samples to be live and since all shipments from the past year are from that same stock, defense officials fear all contain the deadly spores. they tell nbc news no one has been expected. here is the concern. the samples were shipped via fedex as inabout iveand hand handled by workered that were not fully protected. in the texas panhandle a tornado touched down and got a gas drilling rig. over in kansas a slightly different sound. nope. that is not wind.

it is golf ball-sized hail falling through a walmart roof. severe thunderstorms moved but that area but flooding has people across the south searching for nine that are still missing. in an nbc news exclusive, we spoke to a family at the center of the tragedy. >> reporter: a massive search effort is growing. efforts in hays county identified another flood victim. 42-year-old michelle sharba. we spoke with her sister and brother-in-law just before the tragic news. >> my sister is my best friend. we're three years apart. she's just the most outgoing, sweet, wants to be everybody's friend. >> she's still searching for her parents. her brother-in-law and her

nephew six-year-old will. >> loves to sing songs and make up his own words to songs. >> reporter: around 11:00 saturday night her mother texted this picture of the rising water. it was around 1:00 a.m. officials say the home was swept away the families inside. neighbors say her father had run out to saturday the suv found still running the next morning. when she couldn't reach her parents, she didn't know what to expect but it wasn't there. >> she fell to her knees, and i could only imagine what she was going through. >> we never thought the house could be knocked over. she has spoken with the loan survivor badly injured and devastated, the search for his wife and two kids continues. >> we're going to survive this together as a family. we have faith that we will get through this and we're praying

for miracles. >> tough story there. let's get the latest on the weather outside. bill karins has been watching it all week long. >> i'd like to say the threat is over but it's returning back to areas in oklahoma. oklahoma had a little bit of a break over the last two days. we were mo more focussed around the austin areas. this is the area of threat this morning. we don't have too many flash flood warnings that's the rectangle boxes you see. as far as the worst storms they should be approaching areas around wichita falls and oklahoma city. hopefully it will weaken a little bit but they're showing a little bit of boeing segments. that's again, a minor threat this morning. the problem is going to be we're going to do this day after day and night after night. we have flash flood watches from dallas to central kansas. the areas that have been hit so hard this may are going to end may with rounds of thunderstorms

that could drop around 1 to 2 inches. widespread flash flooding and besides the rain threat you also have a severe weather threat. the next three days about 1 to 3 inches of rain. and as far as the severe weather threat isolated tornadoes just like yesterday, western askansas and north texas. the ground is so soaked. one thunderstorm and you get a flash flood in five ten minutes in. >> and after all the flooding we've seen and the damage it's cause for concern. new this morning 11 individuals have been banned from football-related activities as we learn more about the massive allegations on a national scale. soccer's global governing body and the united states has slew of federal charges. peter alexander has the stoir.

security type of person. rand paul of course is running an anti-campaign, and anti-national security campaign such as it was. i don't think it's going to either help him or hurt him. >> that touches on my next question does his accusation hurt gop hopefuls as a whole. santorum said this was a comment he would have expected from someone like bernie sanders. >> that is going to be the tactic that a lot of people in the party use against rand paul that is he in fact is very nonmainstream and in fact is pushing policies that would be more at home in the democratic party. >> is this going to help or hurt rand paul words like what he said? >> i don't think it's going to be either. i think he's been very aggressive and i would expect that kind of response from the republicans whether it's rick santorum or some of the others. >> do people like hillary clinton sit back and go, let them do the fighting among themselves? that makes our work easier.
