i'm todd pirot. the hunt continues. all resembling the movie "the shawshank redemption." now $100,000 reward for the men who police say could be quote, litterly anywhere. >> reporter: more than 250 state and federal law enforcement officers scour the adder on dak mountains looking for clues that could lead them to the two convicted murderers. >> it's been 36 hours since these inmates escaped. they could be literally anywhere. >> reporter: officials describe both menace very dangerous. david sweat, 35 was serving a life sentence with no parole for the 2002 killing of a sheriff's deputy near binghamton, new york. richard matt was sentenced to 25 years to life for dismembering a

man. >> we have a lot of territory to cover. we're looking at each of them and their associates independently. >> reporter: an escape worthy of a wholly wood screen play stuffing their bunks to make it look like they were sleeping. from separate cells each used power tools to reach a catwalk six stories high broke through a brick wall and cut an entrance and an exit from a two-foot wide pipe before breaking a steel lock on a manhole a block way from the prison wall. work officials say, took a matter of days to carry out. they left behind a racially offensive post-it note reading have a nice day. new york governor andrew cuomo retraced the escapees path. >> we went back and pieced together what they did. it encompassed a drilling through steel walls and steel

pipes. >> reporter: two big questions, where did the tools come from. how did the men know how to navigate the maze of pipes and tunnels since all the prison tools have been accounted for, they're speculating about contractor's tools. in a village of about 4,000 people residents are on guard. what was your reaction when you heard the news? >> oh, my god. is this a drill or is this for real? it's very scary. this is my backyard. >> i had my doors locked first any time 30 years. >> reporter: community on edge as a manhunt goes on. >> that was john yang reporting. in new jersey, a wild scene at a hip hop concert at met life stadium. in riot gear getting bottles tossed at them. people, some with tickets and others without, were allegedly forcing their way in. in the parking lot, absolute chaos. police on the move breaking up the crowds. at one point a riot vehicle was

brought in. police are not saying how many arrests were made. an officer at a mckinney, texas, is on administrative leave after being caught on camera aggressively confronting teenagers at a pool party on friday. the video quickly went viral. mckinney police chief greg connelly said investigators have seen the video. >> our initial reaction was to place the officer on administrative leave so that we could conduct a complete and thorough investigation. >> reporter: the mayor of mckinney released a statement saying, quote, having seen the you tube video, i am disturbed and concerned by the incident and actions depicted in the video. today the naacp will meet with the police chief and some residents are also reportedly planning a protest. richard lui has more. >> reporter: this is what happened after police say they were responding to a disturbance of reports of teens partying at a pool party. mckinney, texas, police officer
