>> good morning, early risers, it's friday, june 12th. well consumer to "way too early." i'm amy holmes. we begin in upstate new york with the manhunt for those two escaped killers still on the loose. it has been six days since david sweat and richard matt were discovered missing from the maximum security prison in new york. on thursday police intenseified their search in a densely wooded area a few miles from the prison after a police dog picked up the scent of one or both of the escapees. meanwhile sources familiar with the investigation tell nbc news that joyce mitchell the prison employee being questioned by police, was supposed to be the getaway driver for the two men until she got cold feet and instead checked herself into a local hospital. those sources say mitchell established a relationship with one of the prisoners, rich chart matt over the past couple months and, quote, thought she was in love. here is nbc news correspondent

well, you have four candidates focused in very different directions. one of the front-runners is already talking about a potential ticket mate while 2012's runner up says he has a path to victory. >> if scott walker and marco rubio, announced we're going to run as a ticket you think that might be gimmick or something voters think that's a strong team, that makes sense? >> i've had quite a few people grassroots supporters donors and others who made that suggestion. for now marco is going to be a formidable candidate. >> you like the walker-rub year or rubio walker? >> we'd probably have to wrestle who would be top of the ticket. >> i want ten other states even though the party establishment was lined up against us and we were being outspent three and four to one. the idea we can't go on and win, we did go on and win and we had a very strong message resonating
