the 8,000 square feet church in south carolina is a total loss. there's no official cause yet, and there were lightning storms passing through. many the aftermath of the horrible charleston massacre two weeks ago, a string of fires and seven predominantly black churches in a week has people wondering if it's all connected. this same church was burned to the ground 20 years ago by ku klux klan. fbi is investigating. three and a half weeks after the escape from the prison fa till silty, the boss and other employees are fired. the remaining escapee is revealing his plan. >> da tells nbc news t david

sweat started planning the escape in january. sweat said he navigated the maze of cat walks for months all along. the night before the escape the duo conducted a dry run breaking out of prison. >> they did get out to the point of the village and did actually pop one of the manholes up. >> they retreated back to their cells. >> if they were able to pop open a manhole cover the night before why not escape that night? >> i felt they had a plan to have joyce mitchell pick them up in a car and drive away. >> according to wylie, they abandoned the plan to head to mexico through west virginia. sweat tells investigators matt was sick drinking and slowing him down. >> there were occasions he heard the helicopter sheriff deputy vehicle pulled up in the
