chanting freedom. president obama says the nuclear component is not built on trust but on verification by inspections. the president explain what had he calls a modest goal forrelations with iran and why some of his critics are wrong. in the interview he defended it. >> with respect to iran it's a great civilization but has an authoritarian theocracy in charge that's anti-american, antisay antisay mettic terrorism. we have to make sure iran does not have a nuclear weapon. what's striking to me critics are shifting off the nuclear slue and move issue and moving to well, even

if they're dealt with they're sponsoring terrorism and going to get sanctions relief and going to have money to engage in bad activities. that is a possible. we'll have to systematically guard against that and work with our allies gulf countries israel to stop the work that they are doing outside of the nuclear program. >> what i have to always guard against in these conversations is the critics will always say you don't understand. >> you don't understand evil. obama doesn't get evil. >> all this stuff. you know i had a lot of differences with ronald reagan but where i completely admire him was his recognition that the if you were able to verify agreements that you would negotiate with the evil empire. >> now the boston globe is

reporting that the deal hinged on budding friendship of secretary of state john kerry and his counter part zarif. kerry became frustrated and questioned whether he was really empowered by supreme leader of iran to broker the deal. at one point it broke into a shouting match between the twos that could be heard through the walls and the aid had to quiet them down. stay tuned for president obama's news conference later today. if you thought the diplomacy to get the deal done was hard t 80 pages is about to gain more scrutiny as it moves to capitol hill. some democrats and republicans are skeptical if not opposed. >> the president is the most important democrat in the country and obviously in favor of this. he negotiated it going to work

hard to get the 34 votes that he knows he needs in order to sustain it. this is short of perfection apparently. we knew what was working, sanctions. imagine what we might have now we spent the last two years ratcheting up sanctions as opposed to this. >> documents 100 pages long. my staff hasn't read it. i haven't read it. i talked to the president last night. i'm going to recommend to all senators, let's find out what we have first. >> now if congress passes the resolution of disapproval, the president says he'll use veto power to overturn it. then he needs 34 senators to sustain the deal. one world leader who knows where he stands is israeli prime minister netanyahu. he responded this way yesterday.

>> the militant islamic state of iran is going to receive a short path to nuclear weapons. many sanctions to get it will be lifted. in addition, iran gets a jackpot of hundreds of billions of dollars to enable to it to continue to pursue progression of terror on the region and the word. this is a bad mistake of historic proportions. >> this is having impact on financial markets. there's a lot of moving parts on the financial world. you have the chair janet yellen heading to capitol hill. will her words move markets? steve joins us from london. you cover owepec. let's start with the impact on

start a process to get more money to stay off the default. imf and other are owed a lot of money in next few days by greece. that kicks off today. the prime minister has to get it through. china beating expectations. their economy grew at 7% in quarterly figures. factory up hitting 10%. their statistics bureau pains to say our data is real and accurate. back to you. >> back here in washington federal reserve chairman janet yellen is set to testify on capitol hill. what would we look for? >> a little of everything and little bit of nothing. that's slightly opaque. she doesn't want to give the exact timing of the next rate hike in the united states. she wants to say the economy is on rack will get a rate hike in
