former president george h.w. bush is recovering after a fall many his home. a statement was tweeted last night saying quote, 41 fell at home in maine today and broke a bone in his neck. he is fine but will be in a neck brace. he was take ton maine medical center and kept there overnight. he said quote it's premature to speculate beyond that. he uses a wheelchair. he was hospitalized a week last december after experiencing difficulty breathing and spent nearly two months in the hospital in january 2013 for bronchitis related issues. we'll bring you updates on the president's condition as we get them. now to president obama's hour long news conference. it was all about iran until he got a question related to the sexual assault allegations against bill cosby. peter alexander reports it's an issue few expected the president to talk about so publicly.

television. a number of women have contacted me alleging that he used position on television to commit acts on women. if all it takes is a mechanism to do that i would hope the executive branch would begin work on such a mechanism. we should mention cosby has never been charged with a crime and repeatedly denied past allegations. now to president's remarks on iran nuclear deal. he held the news conference where he attempted to address every criticism that emerged over the deal so far. the president defended the agreement and challenged critics to give a viable alternative. >> there are only two alternatives here. either the issue of iran obtaining a nuclear weapon is resolved diplomatically through negotiation, or it's resolved through force, through war. those are the options.

i challenge those who are objecting to this agreement number one to read the agreement before they comment on it number two, to explain specifically where it is they think this agreement does not prevent iran from getting a nuclear weapon. why they're right and people like m.i t. nuclear fizzist and expert is wrong. it is to explain how the american president is in a worse position, 12 13, 14 15 years from now if in fact at that point iran says we're going to pull out of the mpt, kick out inspectors and go for a nuclear bomb. if that happens, that president will be in a better position than what happened if iran as a
