tropical storm erika may be gone but areas of florida are braciig for heavy rain. this, as haiti is recovering after erika brought heavy rains to that area. some residents could be seen trying to save possessions from flooded homes. looks like hawaii dodge aid bullet as hurricane ignacio move add way from a direct hit. forecasters say it may be a tropical storm by tuesday. over the weekend, nasa satellite imaginary caught this rare sight. catch th check this out, three hurricanes in the pacific ocean with ignacio being right there. tracie potts is live for us in washington. the white house says no more mt. mckinley. what's the new one? >> exactly. the mountain is still there,

obviously, todd. it's going back to the old name, denali, sacred name for alaska natives. they've been pushing for 40 years to have the name changed back to denali. an explorer came back from that mountain, heard that mckinley became nominated for president and renamed the mountain mckinley. but he never visited the mountain and never even visited alaska. now the obama administration decided the name should, in fact, go back. it's been a big controversy, which is possibly why it took 40 years. congress didn't approve this. senator rob portman from ohio, mckinley's home state says it's disappointing. he hopes they can find some other way to nominate -- or honor our 25th president in denali national park there in alaska. the president will be there today to make the official announcement.

catapults vermont senator bernie sanders within striking distance, seven points behind clinton, her support plummeting 20 points since the last poll was conducted. sanders also weighed in. >> this is not anti-hillary clinton. this is pro bernie sanders and pro a message that says enough is enough. this country and our government belong to all of us not just a handful of wealthy people. >> reporter: democrats say the e-mail issue is not important, republicans are latching on to the controversy. >> it seems to be one scandal after another. >> reporter: wild card for democrats, vice president joe biden, who made a surprise appearance at a democratic event saturday. he hasn't even announced but comes in third place with 14% in iowa. meanwhile, donald trump's lead spiked to 23% in iowa. this weekend trump courting voters in nashville.

morning. shannon miles is accused of shooting deputy goforth. it's been described as an unprovoked execution-style killing. hundreds gathered in the streets of houston to honor the slain deputy. crowds gathered outside a church and marched a mile and a half to where goforth was killed. he was a ten-year veteran of the sheriff's office. two journalists gunned down on live television last week. 24-year-old reporter alison parker and 27-year-old cameraman adam ward killed by a former colleague. wdbj general manager jeff marks spoke about their good sense of humor and positivity. >> i want to play softball with adam again. and i want to see alison dance. and i will in the wonderful memories they gave me, they gave us. >> adam ward's funeral will take place tuesday. alison parker's obituary says a

celebration of her life will happen at a later date. wes craven has died. he was probably best known for creating the character fred dy crougar. actress courtney cox, who starred in the "scream" films said today the world lost a great man. my friend, wes craven. dead at the age of 76. switching gears now, amas, taylor swift and nikki minaj opened the show together, putting their twitter spat behind them. a new feud may be brewing between minaj and miley cyrus. she was described as not too kind. when minaj won best hip hop video she went a bit off script.

welcome back to "first look." amazing sight over the central and eastern pacific as we went through the weekend. four major hurricanes. all were cat 4 on saturday. the one we're most concerned with, ignacio, thats with a threat to hawaii over the weekend. this was 150-mile-per-hour almost a cat 5 now jimena. we're watching these storms. huge heat engines over the central pacific. hawaii is going to be spared. tropical storm watches have been dropped. thankfully, ignacio took a
