deflategate. this is "way too early," the show that wishes it could rock like joe biden does. ♪ ♪ good morning. it's friday, september 4th. i'm louis. we begin with vice president joe biden who made first public comments about the possible 2016 run for president. >> i will be as straightforward with you -- the most relevant factor in my decision is whether my family and i have the emotional energy to run. everybody talks about a lot of other factors. other people in the race, whether i can raise the money

and whether i can put together an organization. that's not the factor. the factor is can i do it? can my family undertake what is commitment that would be proud to undertake under ordinary circumstances? the honest to god answer is i just don't know. i know from previous experience, to my wife and daughter, and you know stew, there's no way to put a timetable on that. if i can reach that conclusion we can do it, in a fashion to still make it viable, i would not hesitate to do it. >> that came during qa session following the vice president's remarks after the nuclear deal in iran.

that's the kind of america we want. part is you laugh because it's so bizarre. it's hurtful for a lot of people. mr. trump knows this. trump's view is the end is near. his pessimistic view is close the borders, create tariffs, let's do this and that based on negativity. the net result is all will suffer if that philosophy gains favor. here i am believing we should campaign with our arms wide open. >> at his press conference, trump responded. >> when you get right down to it, we're a nation that speaks english. i think while we're in this nation we should be speaking english. that's how assimilation takes and that's how -- whether people like it or not, that's how we simulate. jeb bush is a very nice man. i'll be honest, he's a very nice person. i think he's a very low energy

person. i don't think that's what the country needs. i hear he'll spend i a lot of money on negative ads on me. he's getting money from special interests, from lobbyists and dough thoracics. they're making him do it because he's crashing in polls. i watched him this morning on television. it's a little bit sad. don't forget, he was supposed to win. >> a new poll shows how much the republican field has changed over the last month. the poll has donald trump in first place climbing four points since august 2nd. ben carson shot up to second place. jeb bush is third tied with ted cruz. scott walker down eight points since the first debate landing him this eighth place. now to kentucky where the country clerk was thrown in jail for denying marriage licenses for same-sex couples and

refusing compromise to set her free. she was asked directly if she would comply with court rulings or ordering her to do her job. the judge held her in contempt and sent her to jail. she could be released if she agrees to follow orders. her husband says that's not happening. >> she will stay in jail. she will not bend or bow to nobody. that's our beliefs. that's what people don't understand. >> davis has refused to issue marriage licenses to anyone since the supreme court ruling on gay marriage. five of six deputies will resume normal operations today. a compromises would have granted release if she promised not to interfere with deputies. she refused. the loan clerk who won't comply is her son. he won't be punished since five others have agreed. now the presidential contenders are also weighing in, including former governor mike huckabee on

"morning joe." >> the possible law she's following is is kentucky law. the specific form she's required to fill out for a marriage license, specifically requires male and female. >> i see no reason there couldn't be compromise. a notary of public certify and she simply files it. >> i understand her concerns. i believe in traditional marriage. she's an official. we can't do what obama is doing, picking and choosing what we like. >> this woman needs to make a decision of conscious. is she willing to work for government and be paid for government in which she needs to execute the government's will or does she feel so strongly to sever employment with the government? three senate democrats

agreed to back yesterday. the three came a day after president obama clinched enough votes to guarantee the deal can't be blocked by congress. in first public comment since the necessary support, iran supreme leaders said no deal will be world leaders insist on spending instead of completely lifting sanctions on iran. he went on to say iranian lawmakers should be the ones to decide on the agreement. hillary clinton's campaign is set to launch major run this month. the campaign is trying to put to rest questions her private e-mail server while she was secretary of state. mills testified yesterday eight hours behind closed doors. >> miss mills answered all committee's questions.
