right now. good morning, everybody. we start with the latest in the fight against isis. brussels spent the weekend on high alert with the capital essentially shut down after authorities received "concrete information" of a terrorist plot, threats belgiums prime minister described as serious and imminent. 22 raids led to 16 arrests yesterday. salah abdeslam, wanted for his involvement in the par ace tacks, was not one of them. french police released the photo of an unidentified man they say was one of the suicide bombers from the november 13th attacks. gabe gutierrez joins us with the latest. >> right now president hollande is meeting with prime minister cameron in paris. they paid an unannounced visit to the bataclan concert hall which saw the worst carnage ten days ago which killed 130 people. much of europe remains on edge. overnight 16 people were detained in belgium after 22

raids. brussels is entering its day of virtual lockdown. belgium's prime minister says the country will stay on its highest alert level through the start of the work week because of what he calls a serious and imminent threat of a paris style attack. authorities are on the lookout for a potential suicide bomber, which is why they are telling people to avoid crowds. metro stations are closed, sporting events canceled and theaters shut down. still no sign of 26-year-old salah abdeslam believed to have played a key role in the paris attacks. he's on the run, despite the overnight raids. police think he may have fled by car to the brussels area. man who drove with him and was arrested told investigators abdeslam wore a thick jacket possibly concealing a suicide vest. french police released a photo of a third suicide bomber who blew himself up outside france's national stadium ten days ago. they are asking for the public's

help in identifying him. the french president is meeting with the british prime minister in paris right now. holland is trying to build a stronger international coalition to fight isis. he's set to head to washington to meet with president obama tomorrow and own this moscow to meet with russian president vladimir putin later this week. shannon? >> hopefully something will come of that, gabe, thank you. russia is sending a puppy to the french police to honor diesel, the police dog killed during last wednesday's raid in saint-denis. in a letter to his french counterpart, russia's interior minister says the puppy is a sign of solidarity. the dog is named after a russian folk legend renowned for strength, goodness and courage. president obama arrived back in the u.s. overnight but a lot has changed since he left. the rhetoric over isis has escalated every day and his war of words with the gop candidates isn't letting up. tracie potts is live in washington. some controversial new anti-terror proposals from gop

did not have a permit when gunshots were fired. investigators have not determined what caused the shooting but say it may have been gang related. all victims are now listed in stable condition. music video was also being filmed without a permit but the gathering was primarily a block party after a brass band parade locally known as the second line parade. singer celine dion sang an emotional tribute to the victims of the paris terror attacks at last night's american music awards. performing the classic hymn hymne a l-amour" and the performance brought tears to many in the audience. ♪ the song which translates to hymn to love received a standing ovation, and was a powerful note

the snow for many people this weekend including chicago area with the big snowstorm on saturday and then on sunday we had more show and it was lake-effect snow that was falling, the cleveland area did see some lake-effect snow, enough to get shovels out in a few spots. thankfully that is over with, some of the first lake-effect snow of the season. little bit of snow left over in eastern maine, we're clearing it out in all of new england.

it is cold. the storm system that brought the snow brought the cold air down to the deep south. we're 32 in atlanta this morning, that's not even factoring in the windchill. 34 in mobile, one of the coldest mornings we've seen in the end of the growing season for a lot of people in the deep south. today's forecast thankfully chilly but tranquil weather across the country, great for all your travel and what's really nice about this week for the eastern half of the country is, this is the oldest day. we're going to get warmer from here, by the time we get to thanksgivi thanksgiving, 65 in atlanta, new york near 60 degrees. detroit 55, tallahassee near 78, so shannon the good news is that this cold air is not here to last. it will be a beautiful week in the eastern half of the country. >> thank you, bill. breaking overnight, indianapolis police have made an arrest in the murder of a pastor's pregnant wife. 18-year-old larry taylor has been arrested and charged with murdering 28-year-old amanda blackburn. blackburn was shot dead just over a week ago during a home invasion in indianapolis. blackburn's husband, davey, was

at the gym at the time. the couple's 15-month-old son was unharmed. nncht new orleans the manhunt continues for a suspect caught on video shooting a tu line university medical student. 25-year-old peter gold is being hailed as a hero after trying to help a woman he thought was being abducted when police say the attacker turned his weapon on gold and demanded money. the gunman then shot him once in the stomach and appears to try to shoot him again but the weapon gets jammed. the suspect has been identified as 21-year-old urich cain, a $12,500 award is being offered for information leading to his capture. >> this type of brazen violence is not going to stand in our city. we know you who are and you need to know that we are going to find you. we need the public's help to do this but there is no question now that we know who he is, that he will be brought to justice. >> the victim, peter gould, is hospitalized in guarded company. he is expected to make a full

there. let's talk a little bit of politics, start with the president, he's back in the country, some strong words for some of the gop candidates, and i want to get this right here, he says their attacks on refugees are helping isis and that essentially they're doing the terrorists' work for them. is that a fair assessment or does that seem a little bit harsh? >> we know isis wants to radicalize more moderate muslims having them be alienated in communities. when you hear rhetoric to not have them in our communities you hear them called rabid dogs or as carson did or governor chris christie said i wouldn't let a 3-year-old orphan into this country because they're syrian muslim, those are harsh words. it's a harsh assessment from president obama but there's a grain of truth, you need to balance the need for security with the need to be welcoming and not radicalize more people. >> perhaps not in the sense of harsh words but he's starting to get it not just from republicans but as we heard from dianne

feinstein and some democrats as well, how do you begin to balance that and does he feel more pressure that he does need to take more action here? >> i think we are seeing the strategy change. hours before the par ace tacks we saw president obama say isis has been contained. they clearly have not. i think we're going to see an evolving strategy, whether or not that comes from gop president in the future or it comes from this president, i think time will tell. >> all right, another week, another poll. this one is a cbs poll, trump leading gop in new hampshire with 32% followed by marco rubio at 13%, and then ben carson. carson slipping here. what's the deal? >> our former front-runner is now number three in many national polls. i think with the race focusing in on national security he pales for some voters. whether that's his slip-up saying that china is in syria which they're not, or i'm not sure which countries are in nato, that is a question of, it struggles, he doesn't look as strong with the voters so it's hard for him and marco rubio is much more of a hawk, strong
