more primaries and more results. trump took michigan. ted cruz came in second, followed closely by john kasich and marco rubio. cruz did win idaho and it's wortds noting that trump didn't campaign in although he did say he liked their potatoes. the biggest win of the night, bernie sanders edged out hillary clinton. nbc called trump as the winner in hawaii. speaking from florida last night, trump thanked his supporters while talking about a growing movement. >> thank you very much, everyone. this was an amazing evening. i want to thank the public. i want to thank the people of michigan. i want to thank the people of mississippi. only one person did well tonight, donald trump.

morning. god bless george martin. george will be missed. nbc is joined from london. >> good morning. he famously guided the fab four to fame getting that nickname the fifth beetle. he passed away overnight. ringo star breaking that news on twitter. he produced most of the well known songs and albums, an english gentleman throughout his career. he seemed an unlikely fit at first, but it proved to make music history. it was a career filled with awards including grammys and an oscar nod. it wasn't just the beetles that he influenced, he was behind the music for three james bond films and the contribute to princess diana.

he had a hand in the broadway hit tommy. later in life working again with the beetles, he created a new album in the process with his son saying you don't get a better job than this. contributes continue to flow in all across social media this morning. >> he had an amazing life. thank you so much for that. the. the search for a suspected shooter for a minister has ended. there was a man arrested last night. police say he threw objects over the white house fence. he's accused of shooting pastor tim rummington six times on sunday. it happened after the minister delivered prayers at a rally. >> once we got the information

and realized the scope of of really who could be in danger in this case, we alerted everybody. we were in contact with the secret service. we began to alert anybody who we thought may be in danger. >> pastor remington's son said his father is expected to make a full recovery. there's no word on what motivated the attack. a magnificence manhunt in missouri. according to police a mexican national suspected of killing five people is now in custody. the search began late monday when police found four man fatally shot in a kansas city, kansas home. early tuesday the manhunt shifted to a car abandoned on i-70.

short lie after 2:00 a.m. eastern time police say they apprehended the suspect. he illegally reentered at an unknown date. police received reports of a woman throwing items from a vehicle on saturday which led to a chase at speeds up to 100 miles an hour. the driver crashed into a pickup truck at an intersection and fled from her vehicle naked. the woman was arrested. there is no word on why she was naked. it is official no meteorologist say this winter is the hottest ever for the lower 48 states and alaska had its second warmest temperature. the average temperature was 4.6 degrees above normal. recordkeeping began in 1895. the warmer temperatures in

trump is looming out there in the same message that bernie sanders is delivering from ther. trump will be playing the same chords in november if he's the recommend can nominee. so there's actual reason for nervousness in there. >> cruz took idaho, what does that do to trump? does that make him now unstoppable? can he come over the idaho loss? >> don't worry too much about idaho. i mean, they're lovely people. don't get me wrong. but no, i mean, donald is romping truly right now. keep an eye next week, a week from yesterday, to florida and ohio. winner take all states. if donald wins those it's hard to imagine how he's going to be stopped. if he doesn't win them, hey, we might have a very, very wild convention. >> well, what would happen if rubio and kasich actually drop out before florida? i mean -- >> it's not going to happen. >> are they pulling votes from trump on this? >> that's not going to happen. these guys aren't dropping out. they're all running. listen, it seems to me that

trump is best stoppable by one candidate at each place, marco rubio in florida, john kasich in ohio. i don't understand the cruz strategy of messing around in florida. it seems unlikely he'll win florida. it kind of halts donald trump. maybe he has an idea his advisers have a theory on it, that we haven't been able to grasp. i have to tell you, that's an odd one to me. >> it's a winner take all. msnbc's joe scarborough wrote an op-ed said that trump questions ronald reagan's republican party. has he made it less politics and more qvc? >> it's funny, he brought out all the products in the press conference, including actual red meat. we talk about red meat in politics that's a figurative thing. but he had trump steaks on stage.
