let's be clear. this is nuts. this is not a reasonable position, this is cookie. i guess i should admit my dad killed jfk and jimmie hoffa is secretly buried in his backyard. donald's source for this is the "national enquirer," and it is trash and run by his good friend, the ceo. it has become his hit piece he uses to smear anybody and everybody. it's not first time. donald trump used the "national enquirer" to go after my family and my wife, heidi. it's lies after lies. i guess he was dismayed because a couple weeks ago they wrote

this story about jfk and donald trump was dismayed because the folks in the media weren't repeating this latest idiocy so he thought he haven't to do it himself. go on national television. my father was my hero. my dad was imprisoned and tortured in cuba. when he came to america, he had nothing. he came to america and washed dishes for 50 cents and hour, exactly the kind of person donald trump looks down on. i will do something i haven't done for those who traveled with me across the country on the campaign, i will tell you what i think about donald trump. this man aces pathological liar. he doesn't know the difference between truth and lies.

he lies practically every word that comes out of his mouth and had a pattern i think is straight out of a psychology textbook. his response is to accuse everybody else of lying. he accuses everybody on that debate stage of lying. and it's simply a mindless yell, whatever he does, he accuses everyone else of doing. the man cannot tell the truth but he combines it with being a narcissist. a narcissist at a level i don't think this country has ever seen. donald trump is such a narcissist that barack obama looks at him and goes, dude, what's your problem? everything in donald's world is about donald. and he combines being a pathological liar. i say pathological because i actually think, donald, if you hooked him up to a lie detector test, he could say one thing in the morning, one thing at noon and one thing in the evening all contradictory and he'd pass the lie detector test each time. whatever lie he's telling, he believes it at that minute. but the man is utterly amoral.

let me finish this, please. the man is utterly amoral. morality does not exist for him. it's why he went after heidi directly and smeared my wife, attacked her. apparently she's not pretty enough for donald trump. i may be biased but i think if he's making that allegation, he's also legally blind. but donald is a bully. you know, we just visited with fifth graders. every one of us knew bullies in elementary school. bullies don't come from strength, bullies come from weakness. bullies come from a deep yawning cavern of insecurity. there is a reason donald builds giant buildings and puts his name on them everywhere he goes. and i will say there are

millions of people in this country who are angry, they're angry at washington and angry at politicians who've lied to them. i understand that anger, i share that anger. donald is cynically exploiting that anger and he is lying to his supporters. donald will betray his supporters on every issue. if you care about immigration, donald is laughing at you and he's telling -- he doesn't believe what he's saying not going to build a wall, what he told the "new york times." he will betray you on every issue across the board. and his strategy of being a bully, in particular, is directed at wendy. donald has a real problem with women. people who are insecure, people who are insecure about who they are, donald is terrified by strong women.

he lashes out at them. remember, this is the same donald trump who last week here in indiana proudly touted the endorsement for mike tyson, a convicted rapist, who served three years in prison in indiana for raping a 17-year-old girl. in donald's world he said mike tyson was a tough guy. i don't think rapists are tough guys. i spent a lot of years in law enforcement dealing with rapis rapists. rapists are week and cowards and bullies and any that think this is an are tough guy, that reveals a lot about donald trump's character. he said bill clinton was targeted by upattractive women. you know what? i've been blessed to be surrounded by strong women my entire life. today is voting day here in

indiana. the president of the united states has a bully pulpit unlike anybody else. the president of the united states affects our culture. i ask the people of indiana, think about the next five years if this man were to become president. think about the next five years, the boasting, the pathological lying, the picking up the "national enquirer" and accusing people of killing jfk. the bullying. think about your kids coming back and emulating this. for people in indiana, who long for a day when we're nice to each other, when we treated people with respect, when we didn't engage in sleaze and lies. one of the lies he engages in. donald trump is a serial

of course it is primary day, of course cruz is attempting to do something to wrestle back the narrative here. i don't think you can underestimate how much it bo bothers him that his father, his family is under attack like this in a personal way by donald trump, and that is, i think, why you saw some of the anger coming from cruz. some of it also is frustration with the way this race has been shaping up, frustration with donald trump's tactics and trump's ability to talk about things that grab headlines and grab the narrative. this is cruz's attempt to bring the spotlight back to him and his race and his candidacy as he makes this frantic final push in what is a make or break state for him and what cruz acknowledges is an essential state for him. not a must win, he won't go that far but does frame this as battle for the future of the next generation, a battle, he is the last guy standing, he belie believes, between him and the country falling over into an

outside milwaukee where ted cruz did well. we thought he might be the guy that carries this area. the republican that wins tonight has to do well in a populated area like this. talking to voters all day long we're not hearing cruz or kasich and trump trump trump. it's establish republicans, the kind of republicans trump was not supposed to bring in. one woman an mba and corporate finance director and fortune finance director, and campaign director for mitt romney, he has come over to the trump camp and representative what we've been seeing today, establish republicans making peace whatever their issues are with donald trump and coming up behind me and casting a ballot poll. >> to chicago, lake county, a democratic stronghold, one of a handful of counties president

obama won in 2012. polling location in hammond, indiana. what are you saying? >> they're saying this after lunch locull is about to end. after the closing of these polls you can expect a followed of people coming through -- a flood of people coming through. we just got off the phone and saying the beautiful weather today is a huge reason why we think they will shatter the neurosurgeon of percentage of people turning out than four years ago. 18% four years ago, already from 2:00 local time, there are over 21%. by the end of the afternoon, they anticipate they will have close to 40% of voters registered in this county to turn out. here is one. i just stumbled on to one. tell me your name. >> connie. >> you voted? >> i was the 100th voter in my precinct today.

the medical examiner's office released calls of a woman calling 911 that she was concerned about prince's cocaine habit and prior in 2010 prince told her he couldn't control his habit. msnbc does not have any further information about the context of that phone call and no verification of the caller's concerns. we have breaking news as well in the case of man who died in police custody. msnbc shared this video exclusively last fall showing police shock a southern virginia man with a taser repeatedly. now, nearly three years since linwood lambert's death we learned the police involved will not face charges. our msnbc chief correspondent broke this last fall and you will tell us what the latest is, why no charges? >> exactly. no charges. they just wrapped a press conference with a 76 page report. i want to remind folks this

wasn't initially a criminal suspect. he was picked up at a motel room because he was acting errat erratically. this was the video we obtained to be taken to the er for medical care that he apparently needed. when the car arrived, he kicked out the car window and went running towards the er. you see this in hospital video, where he was tased and fell to the ground. you see the officers there using the taser to bring him to the ground. they shackled his legs and then what we saw on another video angle was shocking to many. a repeated set of tasings, even after his legs were shackled on the ground as he rolled around, pleading for help. he told the officers he had done cocaine, rather than bring him into the er, into the hospital, they then took him back inside the car, where they swore at him, directed him to move around, continued to tase him, removed him and went back to jail, not the er, where he then

died. so the question always was, why didn't they give him the medical care he was supposed to receive? and were there any crimes? the answer, according to the prosecutor here today is, no crimes were committed. they reviewed this and potentially considered manslaughter. they said they considered murder and they considered lower forms of assault, but decided all of this was not illegal. they did, however, criticize the police conduct. i can show you highlights from the report, calling the type of tasing we just showed you, unreasonable, negligent. the decision to remove him from the hospital, heart-wrending and a lot of criticism in many places, ultimately prosecutors, despite their criticism of police involved, violence or force or whatever folks want to call it here, here the force being criticized, but being found ultimately not to justify charges. >> right, as a legal matter,
