golf courses in the u.s. we look back before he announced and we saw year over year that foot traffic patterns were the same. starting in june 2015 we saw fewer people going to his branded property than we saw last year. that trend continued. in the summer months we did not see as a surge of people going to the property and then a lift that we would expect. over the course of the winter things seemed to stabilize and then in the springtime fewer people we want to his hotels than before. >> how do you come with the way to track it and looking at this from an analytic perspective when donald trump starts the candidacy to what kind of traffic he gets? >> well, he do this all lot and predicted iphone 6 sales last year. we do this because we can

democrats have the energy and they were basically even on this measure going into the convention. it is something to watch going forward. is this a temporary bounce or can be it sustained. >> the big cloud of negativity, how does that compare to 2012? >> well, in 2012, we saw overall enthusiasm right after the c conventions at 57%. this year, 44%. so overall declining enthusiasm, but right now, the gap favors the democratic party. >> 1%, why is that number a problem for the man we see right there? >> that's donald trump support among black voters. look, republicans have been in the single digits for the past few elections. that's nothing new. donald trump, though, has said that he was going to bring more minorities into his tent, despite the rhetoric republicans feel repels minorities. that's not happening. he is 1% in the nbc/"wall street
