arizona to georgia, new hampshire to nevada. clinton maintains her lead with female voters in those four states. according to "usa today," the biggest swing in the american electorate this year is among white college-educate the voters, a group that has voted republican in every presidential election since 1952. yesterday's poll showed trump leads among white college grads but in arizona up only by a point. maricopa county, home of sheriff joe, clinton lead busy 4 points. in georgia another traditionally red state, trump is ahead in atlanta suburbs, clinton leads in the area immediately around the city. police in florida released surveillance footage of a possible suspect in a fire at a mosque they say was intentionally set, the same mosque where the orlando nightclub shooter worshipped. nbc's kerry sanders has more on the investigation into whether this was an act of hate. >> reporter: with minutes to go on a solemn day, 9/11, an arson

fire at a florida mosque. a likely hate crime, say agents. at the same mosque where pulse nightclub gunman omar mateen occasionally worshipped. tonight investigators have a useful clue. a security camera caught a man running from the scene. that arm waving, say officials, possibly because he burned himself when he set the fire. whoever it was came on a motorcycle. 911 calls came in shortly after. >> it looks like a church, i'm assuming it's a church. >> you see flames coming from the roof? >> yes, and i see a whole bunch of smoke. >> reporter: witnesses say the fire spread quickly. >> we have one commercial structure. it's about 25% involved at this time. flames through the roof. >> reporter: this morning more than 100 members of the mosque had planned to hold service here for eid, the holiest of day in the islamic faith. instead this morning they hastily joined a congregation at a nearby mosque. >> everybody's obviously saddened and scared about it.

but you know, our community is bigger than a building. >> reporter: ever since omar mateen claimed allegiance to isis, killed 49 people at the gay nightclub in orlando, there had been numerous threats and violence attacks at the ft. pierce islamic center. in july a member was beaten up by a stranger in the parking lot. >> it's unacceptable to try to think that because of the actions of one criminal individual, the others would have to be somehow held accountable for it. that's unamerican. >> and our thanks to kerry sanders. police in new york city investigating a potential hate crime after a muslim woman was reportedly set on fire. according to reports a man lit the woman's blouse on fire as she stood outside a busy section of manhattan sunday night. the woman, reportedly wearing traditional muslim attire, noticed her shirt was smoldering but was not seriously hurt. the attack comes days after another incident in brooklyn where two muslim women were allegedly attacked while pushing their babies in strollers. an arrest was made in that incident. let's turn to business.

samsung lost more than $14 billion yesterday as the company continues to deal with this ongoing issue of their new galaxy note 7 catching fire. nancy hungerfor is joining us from london. how much farther could things fall? >> that is the question investors have been asking all morning and helps explain why we saw a rebound in samsung shares in the asian session. the stock closed higher by about 4%. because a lot of people have started to wonder whether or not that sell-off was overdone. especially some analysts suggesting the telecom retailers are continuing to buy other samsung models to replace the galaxy note 7. so that is quite encouraging to investors who at first really feared about a broader brand impact. but so far we are seeing a slight rebound in the shares but it hasn't gone far enough to recover that more than $14 billion in lost market cap over the sell-off on monday. a bit of a different story for you to watch today for all those fast food fans out there.

flawed. >> joining from us london to talk about this, nbc news foreign correspondent matt bradley. what's the latest that you're hearing on the state of this cease-fire? >> good morning. the cease-fire has now held overnight for nearly 18 hours. and it has been tense indeed. accusations have been tossed back and forth. rebels accusing regime forces of continuing to bomb rebel positions. and the regime has reported some rebel attacks as well. so betty, while this treaty may be off to a rocky start, the cease-fire has still managed to achieve the relative calm that diplomats had hoped for. u.s. secretary of state john kerry, who negotiated the truce, defending it saying that by syria's miserable standards, even this fragile reprieve has to be considered progress. >> sure this is less than perfect. this is perhaps one of the most complicated places in the world. but let me ask you -- flawed compared to what? compared to nothing?
