medical records? why not -- >> i have no problem in doing it. i have it here. should i do it? i don't care. it is two letters. one is the report and the other is from lennox hill hospital. >> may i see them? >> yeah, sure. >> those were all the tests just done. >> reality tv. according to the people in the audience, the television doctor was very impressed with trump's health other. than that itty bitty issue of trump's weight. any way, the physical was conducted by the doctor who wrote a letter last month that he later admitted was completed in five minutes. in it, the doctor said, if elected, mr. trump i can state unequivocally will be the healthiest individual ever elected. and here's what he told nbc after the letter was released. >> do you have any medical concerns about him? >> medical concerns about him.

i guess you have the same average medical kernels you have for a 70-year-old man. >> how could you know that he would be in the best health of any president in the history of the united states? >> i like that sentence. i like that sentence, to be quite honest with you. and all the rest. we've had everything. dementia and tumors. we've had every thing. psychotics and paranoids, all in my own little lifetime. >> everybody wants to go to that doctor. this afternoon, dr. oz gave his assessment of trump's health. >> as a doctor, if he was my patient, i think the results would be good for a man of his age. >> meantime the clinton campaign released a comprehensive letter. it distributed her medications, lab tests and vitals.

the doctor confirmed her physical condition is normal and she is in fine mental condition. i've got three questions. what is new here and what's missing? >> what's new. we'll start with hillary clinton. her trs released two records over the last two months. in those two letters we're getting more of a picture of what's going on with her health. good mental health. we find out about her vaccinations. we find out about some of the testing that went on with the pneumonia she had. it was mild pneumonia. she is on antibiotics for it. she is resting now. there are a few pieces missing but i think they're minor and small pieces. on donald trump's end, what we're finding out is that we don't have a lot of things that we know about.

a hot of pieces to the picture that are missing. dr. oz came on the show and showed us a little information of what he'll show tomorrow. >> let's talk about secretary clinton here. i'm not a doctor. i'm trying to figure out what others are reporting. this sunday, hillary clinton had a spat of dehydration. fair enough. it was a hot day. a lot of people needed more hydration. water. she was not drinking enough. that led to fainting and it led to her being led to the car in a near collapse situation. another case of dehydration. in that case it led to her falling and having a concussion. then the blood clot. was this a case if somebody was not there to catch her, that she would have fallen and suffered the same reaction which is a concussion? that she went through before? dehydration, fainting, concussion. what does that pattern tell you?

it that she doesn't take very good care of herself. she works extra hard but she is not drinking the water and not listening to her doctor to say you need some rest to get over this. the other thing it tell me, from the tests she's had in the past, specially tests concerning the blood clots. they've done a fairly thorough evaluation of those and she is on blood thinning medication. if she hits her head, she could bleed in that area. my main message would be, listen to your doctor and take care of yourself. i understand this is the hot and heavy season on the campaign. >> the phrase that grabs me blood clots. is this something that's chronic? >> she has had three different episodes of these blood clots. she is on three different medications. it prevents other blood clots from forming assuming she is at the right level.

also in an earlier letter, she did what is called ant coagulation studies. they're looking for symptoms that might cause her to coagulate a little more with the blood clots. they didn't find any of those. so we don't have an understanding of why she is getting these blood clots and we may never because science hasn't advanced that far. >> what about trump's doctor? you can't call someone a quack. but to say he is the healthiest person who has ever run for president, it is undocumentable. there is no equivalence to 200 years ago. we can't see john quincy adams. it is. with the long hair, he looks a little strange. what do you make of a doctor who says healthiest guy in history? he is leaning on his arm for some reason. >> if i called and said i have this new patient. donald trump. tell me what he is like.

he is the healthiest person. that doesn't tell me anything. good i have me some history and some back ground. >> what do you have? a little overweight. 230 something. >> he is overweight. the 230 puts him in an overweight category bordering on obese. i don't know that i would call him a healthy weight. we don't know much beyond that. he is on an aspirin every day. why? did he have issues in the past? we don't know a lot of his picture and that's probably the biggest concerning thing. i talk about it being a puzzle. we have all the pieces to put together. we have a few pieces but we don't have the rest to get a complete picture. >> thank you for coming on. i'm joined by mother jones washington bureau chief, david, a trump surrogate and former adviser. let me ask you a question i've

been thinking about. we have the commission on presidential debates. it is not a commission. everybody thinks it is very straight and very objective. why don't we have a commission that says no, more pussyfooting around. if you want to run for president of the united states and you make it into the final round, april 1 or something, you have to submit to a medical exam? >> you can do a financial exam. >> you're changing the subl. >> i'll saying do you know psychiatric evaluation as well. i don't think you can impose it. there is nothing in the constitution that someone has to be sane and healthy. i think you could set something up like that. if a at a time that get lost, he or she may pay a price for that. >> maybe a standard set of questions that doctors to have answer about you.

>> paul songas was in very bad shape when he ran we have other past incidents, president kennedy, fdr, their health was a concern. it was concealed from the american people. so i think there's some validity. >> roosevelt lasted a few months, or a month. >> there is something to the american people wanting to know. at the end of the day, there are bigger issues that people around the kitchen table are concerned about. sth i don't know if it is mr. trump's colon oscopy or mrs. clinton's feigning. >> i'm interesting in this. they both went to the trouble today of putting out some medical material. they think the public wants to see it. you disagree. >> i think the public wants to hear about policy. about deeper issues. >> we've been talking about policy for years, sort of. you think the tax thing, let's

talk about taxes. this is death and taxes almost. bernie sanders went right through his campaign and someone said -- >> he never became the nominee. i think he would have had a harder time not releasing his taxes were he the nominee. today wave piece in "newsweek" talking about the trump organization financial ties. >> can we stay with one thing at a time? no, really. let's just talk about taxes. i want to talk about taxes stafl on taxes. what is trump hiding? >> i think three things, he may not make as much money as you would think a $10 billion millionaire would. he may not pay a tax rate. and he may not give anything to charity. >> why do you think trump is hiding in. >> i don't think if he is hiding anything. >> president obama said he is hiding his tax returns.

personal e-mails sent by retired four star general and former secretary of state powell powell have been leaked online with hackers with suspected ties to russia. some of those e-mails first reported by buzz feed news and later confirm reveal powell's disdain for donald trump. in one e-mail, shamd trump for perpetuating the birther conspiracy. powell writes, yup, the whole birther movement was racist. in june of this year, powell goes so far as to call the republican nominee a national disgrace and an international pariah. other e-mails which have not been verified, powell calls benghazi stupid witch hunt. he asked if ambassador stevens

exposed himself to risk. powell also had some criticism for hillary clinton who he called greedy is that expressed his frustration with being dragged into the stories about her e-mails. the site that released the e-mails is believed to have obtained the e-mails from russian hackers. general powell told nbc news, the hackers have a lot more. a warning that carries a lot of weight in light of the charges that russia may tamper with elections. let me start with you. what do you make of this, what do you think the power of this news is? probably the most respected. the leading light. the one that everybody in the country seems to trust. one of our really renounced leaders was so open in his secret kornls about what he thinks of trump, and the

she's visited the city twice. trump is aiming at large african-american populations. and also, the aforementioned flint's -- actually the democratic mayor. so michael moore is one of these guys who has been out there in that city for decades talking about its economic plight. what do you make of the newbie? does it help at all in. >> well, the only good thing is there is attention on nine and we need to keep this story front and center. this emergency situation was declared in december of 15. back in december. so that's almost ten months now. and to come into flint now, it is interesting timing. it's almost time for people to start getting absentee ballots. >> we know the politics. mr. mayor, we are familiar here at "hardball" with politics.

but is clinton being held to a different standard than trump? here she is. >> what i will tell you is that the cleanse campaign and the hillary clinton, secretary cleanse herself has been very forthcoming about her medical history. particularly in the last couple days. so much so that we know she gets dehydrated often. it is a very interesting detail and i would argue that a little bit of a double standard. i think we're holding her to a different standard at this point. >> let bring in the round table to figure it out. mark, this question, first of all, i think it is a question about a person who gets dehydrated to the possibly of paning. hillary was caught this time before she fell. when you faint even a few time,

you have to wonder what is causing it. apparently it is dehydration. why? do you think it is relevant? >> obviously it is. million have seen this video. what was really happening? i think an send the video, they wouldn't have been determined. i think she will get a huge welcome tomorrow when she goes back on that stump and i think it will be the end of it. >> i don't think so. i think she dischosed this because of the video. when you talk about are they being treated fatherly. donald trump has not been passing out. he has not been winded or described over and over again as looking unhealthy. so people are raising these questions about hillary. that's one of the reasons. >> rudolph giuliani has been put on this show rather rabidly. is he doing it because he saw her cough? >> they were not working this before has not?

>> clearly there are people who are partisan who want to raise these questions because of partisan biases. but hillary clinton is the one who almost passed out in front of a camera. that she keeps passing out -- >> well, she passed out once before and hit her head. you say as of this sunday, you think it is fair game. >> ron. you saw her waiver there. that's a burst of reality. that's why they hold on to it. there is a general assumption what they see on television is crafted and not real. so moments lying this live on and it will live on. >> pretend you're the most pristine journalist who ever was. no ideology and no bee as. down the middle.

tax returns, health reports. is it standard and skin? >> which way is the media leaning here? >> hillary is playing traditional play book. you disclose. you fall back. trump plays a whole different game. he gets points for thumbing his nose at the establishment. >> so you don't believe he is under audit. >> his numbers have been good during all thiseredand going up. he likes to thumb his nose at the establishment. >> i think you're right. i think the not me buddy is part of his buddies. i don't think this is a bias and being treated unfairly. she's been in the public eye for
