after this extraordinary day in 2016. 26 days to go until election day. much more to come with my colleague, thomas roberts, in new york breaking this down. >> hi everybody, i am thomas roberts, breaking news at this hour. you do not want to miss this. we have donald trump unleashing on the media and the women who have came out to accuse him in inappropriate sexual behaviors and michelle obama delivered her most powerful and indictment of the gop nominee yesterday. trump striking back in the way of new accusation of women who said he groped and kissed them without consent. >> these claims are fabricated, they are pure fiction and out right lies. these events never ever happened. >> we took on a defiant tone
11:01 am
comiing out there. minutes before, trumped walked off stage. michelle obama delivering a take down with trump without mentioning h is name once. >> last week we saw this candidate actually bragging about sexually assaulting women and i cannot believe that i am saying that -- a candidate for president of the united states has bragged about sexually assaulting women and i have to tell you that -- i cannot stop thinking about this. it has shaken me to my core in a way that i could not predicted. so while i love nothing more than pretend like this is not happening and come out here and do my normal campaign speech, dishonest and disin genergenous.

>> we'll move on from that. we have katy tur in west palm beach florida and our halie jackson will be back with us from ohio. jacob, lets start with his strong words from trump in florida. i want to remind you part of donald trump's defense, take a look. these claims are all fabricated. they are pure fictions and they are out right lies. these events never ever happened and the people that said them fully understand. you take a look at these people and study these people and you understand also. the claims are ludicrous. the same two discredited who should have been fired from the "new york times "for what they
11:03 am
said telling others of fabricated and false story that took place on an airplane more than 30 years ago. another ridiculous tale, no witnesses, no nothing. >> all right, donald trump said during that speech, jacob, to dispute these lies will be made public soon. he had a strong reaction from crowds there. folks wanted to hear what donald trump wanted to say. these women have snowballed and come forward and said they have had problems with donald trump's sexual behaviors in the past. >> reporter: this was an all out war and not just on the "new york times," not just on the hillary clinton but on the establishment general as he calls it and the press, we never heard him, i don't think so hard and so thoroughly after the
11:04 am
press. have never seen the crowd turn around so many times to yell and chant at the press specifically and more people than i ever seen before crowded around the press after he had finished and stayed for longer than i have seen before to shouting and yelling and swear words and holding up their fingers and making different signs. this was donald trump unshackled, he was angry and defiant. you heard him in those quotes line by line defending and the crowd was taken it all in. i don't doubt that they believed him. they really want to believe him. >> jacob, lets talk to halie. you have donald trump from that stage and michelle obama speaking. we have that delivery reaction from new york times where donald trump is saying they are putting together a lawsuit against them asking the time to take down

that article and the lawyers from the time. he goes onto a radio hos host -- multiple women not mentioned in our article. i publicly come forward of mr. trump's unwanted advances. from what you are hearing inside the campaign and top level sources, who worried are they about a snowball effect of what we have been seeing in the last 16 hours of the days leading up to the final debate in vegas of more women coming forforward. >> reporter: what you are seeing, a reflection of what's happening of how his campaign is handling this defiantly , in a word. almost declaring war at this point against the press and the
11:06 am
women who trump said have falsely accused him against the people who are coming out in trump's word as and trying to ht him and his reputation this is a message that will resonate. like you saw jacob talking about. the trump campaign. over the last what six days or so, has seen and ever since his video came out rather of the 2005 vol vulgar comments, scrambles to try to write the shift here. what you saw from trump today sort of him -- lighting off and coming off clear of his message of his intentions. we'll continue to see not only on his rally here but back out on the campaign trail this week. >> katie, lets go back to the allegation. one of the women trump

mentioned, her name is jessica leeds. >> he was like an octopus and had six arms. he was all over the place. if he had stuck with the upper part of the body, i might not have gotten -- gotten that upset. when he started to put his hands up my skirt and that was it. that was it. i -- i was out of there. >> so he was like an octopus. what do we know about this woman and her allegation and what donald trump say she's somehow connected to cohesive effort in conclusion to hillary clinton's campaign in telling the story. >> jessica leeds, what we know about this, she did not come forward, she was moved up to first class on that flight and sat next to donald trump then she claims that these unwanted

touching happened and he lifted up or reached over the armrest and tried to get up her skirt and she then removed herself from first class and went back to coach and did not tell anybody on the plane because she did not want the unwanted attention. for whatever reasons, she told some of her close friends and family at the time. she says she's coming out now just like many women are coming out now because they are spurred to do so by donald trump's denial after the debate. you have another woman from the new york times talking about how she met donald trump on a business trip and he kissed her. donald trump is denying all of this. he's deanying the new york time saying it is a phony and it is fabrication and his lawyer is demanding a traction and facing legal action. this is snowballing and something that the trump campaign is trying to find a way to push back.
11:09 am
it seems like their answer is to claim that all of these women are working with hillary clinton and working with the media in order to take down at donald trump because he's so anti-establishment. i can tell you thomas, i am here in pennsylvania, i have followed ivanka trump today and she has not mentioned any of these. she has had no comments on that so far. today the same thing and reporters trying to ask her a question, she quickly brushed past us and in this room, she got nothing but friendly questions from the audience asking her what she thinks of her father and she called him a mentor and somebody that helped her become who she is today but nothing along the lines of what do you think about these allegations. >> we know katie that the trump folks sent to new york times the response talked about miss a

11:11 am
of the campaign. she's going to leave politics up to her father and that has been her excuse. she has religiously avoided talking about any of the controversies so far. the only time that i can remember her addressing anything like this. this was a few months ago after the "new york times" came out. she told cbs this morning that her father is "not a groper." katy tur, thank you very much, thank you to our jacob rascon and halie jackson. hillary clinton is talking to reporters right now. lets listen in. >> the stakes are so high and we see it getting higher. i am absolutely convinced that with your help and the help of millions of people across our country, we are not going to win, we are going to take the confidence and yes, the love and

kindness with us. [ cheers ] [ applause ] >> a drawing that bella just gave me. thank you, bella. she's wearing a head band which i adored. thank you. >> she's talking in california talking about the optimism and the love and kindness. i want to bring in robert costa, donald trump, through his legal team is now saying and his twitter account that he denied all these stories. he said substantial evidence to dispute these lies will be made public very soon. i know you have contact with high level sources in trump's inner circle. do you have any idea of what the substantial evidence maybe against these claims?
11:13 am
>> not yet, thomas. what we are looking at is a campaign considering legal actions but it is important to note that they have not taken legal actions there. the threat of doing so and letters sent to the no, times and talks behind the scenes of going after other news organizations. he's telling his advisers for a couple of sources that he had some kind of communications from the past with some of the accusers but whether if that exists or what it is, it is very unclear. this is trump's adviser talking behind the scene. >> we know that "the new york times" is fighting back of a full retraction with an apology. is the biggest concern for folks inside the trump tower in this campaign is this going to be a safety in number kind of moment for other women who feel they need to be heard come forward. this is going to dog him until the finish line of election day. >> that's the fear. it is a fear not just within
11:14 am
trump tower but within the republican party. there is an understanding among many types of republicans that if trump starts to run against the media and the republican establishment, well, that's expected. that's who donald trump is. a distracted message, a message consumed by these allegations of sexual misconduct and assault. that's getting away of things that republicans want to talk about. a sense now of the gop, will he drag down candidates. >> robert costa, thank you, we'll let you get back to work. joining me now is trump's surrogate. jordan has been serving for an adviser for rand paul's campaign. what's the allegation for these women coming forward that he groped and kissed them without consent. >> i think it is important and i think and i know that mr. trump
11:15 am
agrees with me never to take sexually assaults itself lightly. i have counseled many women and girls who's been sexually assaulted and i have counseled many boys and men that have been accused of. the women, for example, miss leeds talked about being groped in first class. the armrest does not go up. >> they did not move. >> they did change over the years. >> i did research and in fact, no armrests moved back then. >> doctor loudin. >> some did, just depends on the model. >> i did an extensive amount of research that night and there is not one plane that flew that course where she kissdiscussed e

11:17 am
i think are on the minds and hearts of those who want to stand up for women today. if these allegations are proved to be true, would you change your support or feelings that you have for donald trump as fit of being commander in chief. >> these allegations are not proven to be true. i have been involved in campaigns my entire life. 11 hours smeared campaign especially on the candidate who dismantled the establishment gop and media, who's been proven all of the above to be with the clinton's campaign and wikileaks. we would expect this and i would have predicted this and probably what's going to come next. this is nothing more than a smear campaign directed to an outsider candidate who's taken on this establishment. >> we also watched the first lady giving a fiery and
11:18 am
passionate indictment of your candidate without mentioning his name. i want to remind folks what the first lady had to say. >> we have a nominee drags about sexually assaulting woman, how can he maintain our moral authority in the world. how can we continue to be a freedom in justice and human dignity. >> do you this i the first lady is smearing your candidate through the language of the phrase "moral authority" there? >> if we have a clear case here of words verses action, the only thing that anybody can attack mr. trump on are words that he said and apologized for a long, long time ago. we can talk about hillary clinton's record of smearing women who we know have been sexually assaulted by her own husband that are never coming to defense of those women and taking money from the government and as i said stoned women and
11:19 am
oppressed women. when is she going to give that money back. we know that hillary clinton has given speeches where she said to wall street to gold man sack, hey, don't believe what i tell to voters, i am trying to get votes. that's what she said in the wikileaks. >> but what dronald trump is saying right now, don't believe any of these allegations and women. it is all untrue. the fact that i may have two divorced wives in my past, one accused me of rape and decided to take that rape claim out to gate divorce settlement and go away and never be heard from again. that does not trouble you at all doctor loudin? >> i think it is amazing that his ex-wife actually supports him for president. it is amazing that there has not been more allegations realizing that trump is a multi

billionaire. why did these women not come out 30 years ago, why did they come out at the 11th hour. the american public is so much smarter than that. if they had presented lawsuits against mr. trump or if the wom woman had said in first class had a better story. it is very open and the whole thing does not make sense. it is a smeared tactic and it is at the 11th hour. voters are concerned of a candidate that makes deals against the american public and happens to lose 33,000 e-mails that she deleted. that's what voters are concerned about today. >> let me ask you about donald trump's defense and get your reaction. this is what he had to say in florida. take a listen.
11:21 am
>> she's doing this story on melania who's pregnant at the time and one year anniversary and she said i made inappropriate advances. the area was a public area. people are all over the place. take a look, take a look, look at her words, you tell me what you think. you tell me what you think, i don't think so. >> does donald trump has the moral authority on his side. >> absolutely not. that's the most disgusting thing i heard. he just said she was attracted enough for her to sexually assaulted her. >> it comes down to how he used women and as proven by these allegations of a sexual predator, too. >> do you think he can provide
11:22 am
evidence? >> if he had evidence, he would have run with it this morning. it is going to get worse, there will be count less other women who come forward with his stories. he's shown to be a serial harasser and thank goodness that america get to see this. and i am a republican woman. >> i know you are a republican woman. >> doctor loudon and elise jordan. thank you. we have more coming up with the first lady, michelle obama. >> this is disgraceful. it is intolerable. it does not matter what party you belong to, democrat or republican or independent, no women deserve to be treated this way. ge is an industrial company that actually builds world-changing machines. machines that can talk to each other digitally.

this is not something that we can ignore. it is not something that we can sweep under the rug just another disturbing footnote in a sad election season. >> there we hear from michelle obama and locker room talk is an insult. joining me now is hillary clinton's supporter, jennifer granholm. michelle obama takes on donald trump. she's considered fear less right now. there is nobody at her level that can execute words or statements and emotions like that when it comes to a topic like this and even hillary clinton does not seem to be able to connect in a way like this. why do you think the first lady is so effective when it comes to personalizing and cutting through the crap, basically of what this story is about. >> she's magical. she's really is an amazing, heartfelt person that's utterly
