going to work with republicans on dismantling an important piece legislation that they used up their political capital to make happen in the first place. >> heller is left of where the other four senators would go right about where they are on trump care. does he make an easy open for democrats to begin with? >> i think democrats absolutely acknowledge that there are fixes that are necessary in the bill and i think that certainly if there were reasonable republicans who wanted to fix obamacare as it currently stands to ensure that people are not paying more and getting less, as they would be getting with this current bill, which is not a health care bill, it's a tax cut bill. i think we need to be really clear on what this bill actually does versus what obamacare actually does. i think if republicans were reasonable, certainly democrats would come to the table but

that's not the reality we live in. we live in a world in which republicans want to give tax cuts to millionaires and leave the disabled, the elderly and poor children left to fend for themselves. we stand for health care being a right. >> i want joe to respond to this. she is saying about how republicans and democrats stand for helping those folks. republicans certainly aren't against help for those folks but this bill definitely seems to usher in big, huge cuts for already wealthy americans. why? >> well, i think that in a perfect world you have a bill that done penesn't penalize peoo don't want to be forced to take health care, you have a bill that doesn't penalize employers, you have a bill that allows

freedom of choice and freedom of people to make their own choices. at the same time, i'm a strong believer in the importance of medicaid expansion. you condition leave people out. you can't leave out people who are opioid addicted, you can't leave out all the people who would be hurt when you take away medicare expansion. i think the arguments like dean heller and rob portman, whose state is affected by this opioid epidemic who has to seriously consider what pulling back the voiceds are -- >> and what if there are more defectors in the week to come in. >> then the bill is not going to go anywhere, which we're going to be stuck with blake. it's base. >> but obamacare has a better
