guys, come on, his interest is likely already piqued. we don't know that for sure, but there are so many things going on. talk to me about this former counter intelligence officer. do we know for sure he would have been acting in an official capacity or using his background in a nefarious way in this meeting or is it all an assumption at this point? >> right now it is an assumption and speculation, but it is not outside of the realm of possibility here. the main one you opened the show with it, a lack of transparency. why are we just hearing about this individual? after president trump gave remarks? after reports in the press about these e-mails. we just heard about this additional individual and another potential individual who has had ties. we know he has had previous ties

to russian intelligence in his previous career. it's not unreasonable to think that he may still have ties or be acting as an unofficial go betweener agent. that is not unusual. no one will try to question the meeting and say high, i'm a current russian intelligence officer. >> they may say i have russian intelligence that could hurt your opponent? >> the russians are smart and they will have a level of applaudable de applaudable deni ability. there may have been other meetingers or conversations where information was conveyed, but i'm sure moouler will be looking into it with a fine

repeat repeated denials. we have repeated denials about neat i meetings that happened, and repeated denials about the purposes of the meeting. so usually when those types of share owest present themselves over and over again, you have to say why, what else is there. we know the e-mail chain referenced a prior conversation. i think the mueller investigation will be looking for any records of previous e-mails between these individuals, phone call records, the e-mails noted there was a cell phone number apparently available, after his meeting what happened? did they stop communicating, did anything else take place. on the back end, u.s. intelligence asians to will looking through other intelligence sources not from this meeting, but foreign intelligence to see if the names
