it's tuesday, november 21. we'll following a new wave of sexual misconduct allegations. first we learned of charlie rose. co-anchor of cbs this morning and contributor of cbs has been suspended there cbs news and pbs announced it would no longer distribute long running nightly interview show. comes after "washington post" reported yesterday that eight women had accused him of sexual harassment. according to the paper, women were either employees of charlie rose show of inspired to work there. they range in age from 21-37. allegations reported by the post include lewd phone calls, groping, and walking around naked in front of the women. in a statement rose said in part, quote, i deeply apologize for my inappropriate behavior. i'm greatly embarrassed. i've behaviored incense tifl set

times. i do accept responsibility although i do not believe they are all accurate. >> vox accomplished an article in which four female journalists accused him of acts inappropriate towards him. the claims include unwanted kbro groping kissing to wet cases out of nowhere to hazy encounters under alcohol. he wrote i apologize to any woman who felt unconsideratable in my presence. any behavior that makes a woman feel disrespected or uncomfortable is unacceptable. also msnbc political analyst. outcome of the times investigation and currently has no scheduled appearances. meanwhile, second woman comes forward with allegations against al franken. tells cnn franken grabbed buttocks while taking a photo in 2010 franken was an elected official. in a statement to cnn, franken said he did not remember taking

the photo and that he felt badly she felt disrespected. the new accusation comes just days after radio host leeann tweeden accused franken of kissing and grabbing her. the front page of usa today features article that claims at least for lawmakers, nearly all men in 20 states have been accused of some form of sexual assault misconduct. reuters is reporting this morning. 21st century fox reached a settlement. 90 million settlement. meanwhile, allegations of sexual misconduct continue to plague alabama senate roy moore's campaign as both moore and his opponent, democratic doug jones, hurry to raise cash in a very tight senate raise. we've been talking about. moore's campaign says it's raised over $1 million in just

the last ten days. astounding which comes out to 100,000 per day. in an interview with the "today" show one of the accusers. described how then 32-year-old moo moore tried to seduce her when she was just 14 years old. >> basically laid out blankets in his living room and proceeded to seduce me, i guess you would say. during the course of that, he removed my clothing. he left the room and came back in wearing his white underwear. and he touched me over my clothing. what was left of it. and he tried to he get to touch

further, we certainly think this is something the people of alabama should decide. >> joining me now from alabama, ron. good to talk to you this morning. three major alabama newspapers on sunday running editorial there. basically saying denounce roy moore. vote doug jones. how is that being received on the ground there. >> exactly. you're hearing many different responses to what is situation is. talking to plenty of residents hesitant to vote for roy moore. these are staunch conservatives. judge moor frankly is still on escapade to discredit these women accusers. just last night, he put out a tweet attacking one particular woman who put out the -- who claimed she met him at the restaurant and sexually assaulted upon leaving the restaurant that he frequented. pretty much going on assault to discredit individuals. to a large extent, it's working.

when i say it's working, it's working because the women are telling us they believed that the roy moore they've known for decades is not the roy moore that these nine women are portraying. here's a couple women we talked to that i think give an idea into what we're hearing around the state. >> why you think the item would make these accusations then. >> because it would destroy him. >> i question what's in it for these women who are saying these things. i don't believe it. now, i don't have proof that they're not telling the truth, but the character i know of judge roy moore, i don't believe what they're saying is true. >> no, because i mean, he's ran for so many offices. he was a supreme court justice in alabama. very honorable position and it would have already come out. why right now, right before a senate election that's taken him to washington, d.c. >> reporter: meanwhile, roy

moore is still yet to provide what he called evidence against these other eight women accusers. lee corcoran being one of them he claims to not know. hasn't provided any concrete evidence. the loudest voice in the state calling on roy moore to provide clear and convincing evidence to continue to standby them. young republicans. heard it from president trump. he said he's going to let alabama voters decide, but there's been very few voices within the state that have really come out against roy moore to better or tiarticulate argument against accusers. >> people who are not behind roy moore still, we've been hearing from them and a lot of them say maybe i just won't vote. i'll just stay home this election day because i don't know where to go on this and i certainly don't want to vote for a democrat considering alabama a deep red state there. who could this benefit if in fact these voters decide to stay

home. >> reporter: >> it's a good question. you would think it would take the vote away from roy moore. doug jones if he's not able to bring in enough republican votes, he doesn't stand a chance. played himself as a moderate particularly on the abortion issue. he made comments to msnbc weeks ago where he said he bngs pro-life at the point that a baby is born. voters across the state continuously bring this up to me. they say in very frank terms it comes down to alleged pedophile versus a baby killer. >> okay. i'm going to talk to you again at the bottom of the hour. thank you mplgt tax returning now overseas. designate north korea as a state sponsor of terrorism. something trump says is a very critical step. >> today the united states is designating north korea as a state sponsor of terrorism.

should have happened a long time ago. should have happened years ago. in addition to threatening the world by nuclear devastation, north korea has repeatedly supported acts of international terrorism including assassinations on foreign soil. the north korean regime must be lawful. it must end its unlawful nuclear ballistic missile development and cease all support for international terrorism, which it is not doing. >> so important to note here both south korea and japan have announced they are in favor of this decision. the country is now one of only four in the world on the state department's current list joining syria, iran, and sudan. north korea was added to the list by president reagan back in 1988nology the bombing of south korean passenger jet, but was taken off in 2008 by president bush. in an effort so jump start denuclearization efforts.

the dprk has been added for repeatedly providing support for acts of international terrorism as the dprk has been imp kated on assassinations on foreign soil. most recently kim jong-un's brother who was assassinated in the airport using internationally banned chemical agent back in february. otto warmbier's death was not a factor although cited his killing yesterday. sec tir of state rex tillerson also addressed the reasons. >> really justs the latest step in a series of ongoing steps to increase the pressure, i call it the peaceful pressure campaign. the president calls it the maximum pressure campaign. so there's no confusion. they're one and the same. this is to hold north korea accountable for a number of actions that they've taken over the last several months, the last year or so. this just continues to tighten the pressure on the kim regime.

consumers. comes amid democrats who -- fake news, but a justice official says the white house played no role in the decision to challenge the merger nor court. the president's comments about cnn were not a factor. at&t released a statement calling it a radical and inexplicable and says it plans to fight in in court. meanwhile politico reported the fcc chairman plans to unveil his plan to fellow. regulations designed to ensure internet service providers treat all web traffic equally. preventing companies from blocking web traffic accident to certain websites or slowing down traffic noun as throttling. also bands companies like netflix for paying for faster speeds. companies like at&t. our parent company of course comcast. opposed to while tech companies

or 40 years ago. roy moore has made a stand in this just last night. he put out a treat again going after one particular accuser. he's bent on the defense now on the offensive really that's what he's got to work with for the next three weeks. allegations that you just heard from her are very graphic and very detailed. roy moore getting on twitter and defending himself. not necessarily stepping out in public eye. keeping low profile alongside doug jones as well. are we thinking we're going to see more of them? nothing announced on the schedule for the rest of the week here. doug jones is going to be coming to huntsville to the northern

part of the state this afternoon which brings us here. in terms of alabamians who are they seeing on tv, they're seeing doug jones. right now he's outspending roy moore on television and radio airwaves more than 11-1. turn on the tv here in alabama, it's hard to avoid doug jones. whether roy moore can run out the clock and still bring enough people out that he is convinced doubt the stories of these women. it will be seen over the next 22 days. a lot of people think luther strange and the only option for many republicans was roy moore. what more are you hearing about this. is this something across the board people are feeling right now?

>>. >> luther strange who had been appointed a year earlier versus roy moore. a lot of people said luther strange is something who is not their pick. they felt like they had the chance to vote. came down to two options of luther strange or roy moore. now you hear from washington, right. you hear from mitch mcconnell who spent $30 million. mitch mcconnell as well as other allies spent 30 million just a month and a half ago and the voters voted for roy moore. many voters said we made our decision. this is our candidate. we're going to standby him over the democratic in this race because they can fathom simply coming down to vote for a democrat and that being doug jones. as has become common during presidency, president trump has executive order blocked by a federal judge. this time it's permanent. rejected the administration argument to cut funding from sanctuarile cities saying the

president cannot set new conditions on spending by congress which would violate separation of powers in addition to violating the fifth and tenth amendment. judge also cited his own words it's a weapon to use against jurisdictions. disagree with his policies in his rulings. the administration argued that the executive order only applied to a small sum of money. president trump is ramping up his push to secure an agenda win in the form of tax cuts, but new analysis of one of the republican plans on the table suggest some americans may actually end up paying more. according to nonpartisan analysis group the tax policy center, while all income groups would see tax reductions on average under the senate bill in 2019. 9% of americans would pay higher taxes that year. that figure jumps to 50% of taxpayers largely because of the legislations personal tax cuts would expire in 2026.

republicans did do to curve budget deficits the bill would create. tax policy center also found that low earning americans would generally get smaller tax breaks and higher income people. 2019 those making less than $25,000 would see taxes reduced on average by $50 or less than half of 1% of after tax income. meanwhile, while people making at least $746,000 would get average cuts of $34,000 or just over 2% of their income. speaking before cabinet meeting just yet. president trump promised quote big present for americans this holiday season in the form of tax cuts. i want to congratulate the house of representatives for passing a vital and historic tax cut last week and i'm very hopeful the senate will do the same very soon. we're going to give the american people a huge tax cut for christmas. hopefully that will be a great big beautiful christmas present.

>> and as president trump and republicans try to get a tax bill over the finish line, democrats are reportedly looking to cash in in time for the 2018 midterm elections. according to "washington post," demes are set to release seven figure tv ad campaign targeting republicans in multiple districts with a lot of working class whites as well as districts with more egducated college whites. president trump's foundation is shutting down. according to newly filed documents reviewed by nbc news, donald j. trump foundation is in the process of dissolving fulfilling a promise trump made last december to avoid conflict of interest. ran into trouble last year when it acknowledged violating federal rules in self dealing 2015 tax filing. new york attorney general eric schneiderman ordered the charity

to cease operating back in october. remaining assets to other charitable organizations and shutting down. representative from the attorney general office said the foundation cannot close until that i recall investigation of it is complete. want to turn now to business. justice department has sued to block at&t time warner multibillion dollar merger in first action against the trump administration. 23 page lawsuit alleges the deal between the noncompeting companies would have considerable negative ramifications for consumers. argument at&t says defies logic. joining us from london to talk about. how rocky is the fate of this merger here. >> looking quite rocky indeed. the department of justice has sued them. has sued at&t to block takeover of time warner. it doesn't want to give one company too much control in the

sector. the lawsuit claims that the deal would hurt consumers and its competition because it would allow at&t to raise prices in an environment where a lot of the price cut -- prices have been falling. at&t chief executive hit back straight away saying the decision defies logic and ultimately they're confident they will win the lawsuit. the deal was valued at $85 billion when it was announced in october of last year. still hasn't gone through. on back of that, we see the shares of both companies, at&t and time warner jump quite significantly as there's a lot of questions about whether the deal is going to go ahead. >> i think those in charge of the merger hope it's going to be a smooth ride ahead. they've encountered bumps in the road. let's talk cars. uber and volvo a partnership for autonomous cars. what more can you tell us about this. >> yes, surprisingly uber has
